headcanon.   so lets talk about jim s.tarling taking on a fatherly role. whether an au with drake, or taking in others like darla or adoption like lyn —  pre-negaduck jim would definitely spoil them. to a ridiculous degree. he might replace emotional support with material objects in this way. he’d allow himself to be seen w them in the press & almost kinda flaunt about it, more-so evolving around his ego than them. it’s no surprise he’d likely be neglectful in some way. he is very much centered around his success & ego, although he would try his best. he is lenient on rules so there would be no structure in their life. ‘relaxed parenting’

cut to a negaduck verse, which i imagine most dont believe would go very well. he would encourage them to side with him & condition them to be a villain, if they weren’t already. he’d train them & involve them in his antics depending on the age. he is emotionally unstable so his moods would be as unpredictable as tides, its likely a few members of the f5 step in with assistance in this case & generally the f5 are his support. very likely to get into arguments / spats & he’d try to reinforce rules then, but it’d likely have no effect due to his prior laxness which would irritate him. although one wouldn’t know it by looking at him, negaduck would be protective. aside of the obvious reasons why, he likely still has a heroic complex from his dd days, though he won’t admit it.
