On last Monday I continued my LA fashion week by attending a Concept Fashion show at the ACE museum. There was one headliner runway show by Emily Daccarett. Overall her show was nice but I was extremely overwhelmed with fashion anxiety when I seen the informal presentation by Alexandrino. In my opinion this line of work outdid the actual runway show. As the models came from the back couldn't help my follow them as the strolled to their presentation station like a crack head lol. I took so many pictures and just stared in awe for like 20 minutes. I was obsessed with everything about this presentation from the choice of snake skin leather, the Zipper detailing, to the structure and cut of the jackets, skirt, shorts and pants. I felt like I had died and gone to fashion heaven! The models couldn't have represented the line any better. They stood tall, changed poses every few seconds, and rotated clockwise and counter clockwise so everyone could get a good view of the work. To top off the presentation, as if the clothing alone wasn't enough they handed out chic little branding cards enclosed with a professional photograph sealed with a large gold paper clip. I am for certain I just found my new favorite designer in LA.

Had the perfect event to pull out the perfect jumper. This Jumper was gifted to me after styling a photo shoot for urban doll management. I loved the jumper so much I have held on to it almost a year now. It was so light weight, so simple, yet chic and stylish. I got several compliments Thursday night, I think it's safe to say it was a definite hit!

Had a relaxing day in Malibu last Saturday! Took some slightly dress up style shorts and dressed them down with some chucks and a crop graphic Tee. It was a peaceful day, the waves weren't shy and the water was at a perfect temperature.

As I was doing some fashion and brand research on Abbot Kenny the other day, I stumbled across this store Heavenly Couture. There was a young lady out front that easily persuaded me in with one simple statement, "Everything in here is $16". With my eyebrow raised and curiosity bubbling I went straight in. Now Abbot Kenny is a strip known for a plethora of high end boutiques and specialty stores. I immediately wanted to know "okay, what the heck are they doing in this area?" Being nosey at first, I started shuffling through the racks and was EXTREMELY impressed. The quality definitely didn't scream $16, and they had had a great variety of styles. Everyone knows I'm a basics queen and let's just say they are a perfect go to store for those type items. I purchased several items and this dress photographed is one of them. This dress is made by Love Riche, was on sale for $11 and came in Royal Blue as well. Being my first A-line dress I decided to pair it with some boots to transition it into flirty and playful. I'm really happy with the cut and make of this dress and I almost wish I bought both colors lol. Sometimes while shopping I can clearly see her face. My cousin Jamie is the definition of a bootie queen. Don't get me wrong her style is limitless and she can set off anything from Jordan to a pump. One thing she does know how to do is pick a hell of a bootie; from great prints, vibrant colors, attractive shapes, to just the right amount of buckles and straps. Now how she wears them can't be explained she is the epitome of a creative genius! She inspires me to play with fashion and to make it my own. Often I find shoes I know she would love, and one day I will be able to buy them ALL as I see them and ship them right to her door step. I can't wait!

Flash Tattoos!

These metallic beauties aren't only nice to accessorize the body when wearing swimwear, but also to add dramatic effect to overly exposed bare skin when dressed.  Angela Simmons was spotted last week celebrating her 27th birth in Miami FL rocking her flash tattoos, While Antonia Wright was spotted in Vegas enjoying hers as well.  Although the season is changing I feel they still can be used to add a dramatic wow effect to a wardrobe of low cut dresses, tops, and high splits. Don't be scared! dare to be different rock them in the Fall
