during an argument with Ra's about whether or not the Al Ghul family could even be considered legal royalty, Jason convinces him to spend a ridiculous amount of time and resources declaring Nanda Parbat and by consequence the League of Assassins to be a part of their own independent nation/country, of which the Al Ghuls are the royal family. an unintended consequence of this is that they are then somehow invited to participate in the Olympic games, whereupon Jason thinks it would be funny to compete in the precision shooting division. it becomes rapidly less funny when he runs into Dick Grayson in the Olympic Village, because Dick lost a bet and had to compete in America's gymnastics division for that year.
a leaked series of press shots shows a photo of the two recreating the spiderman pointing meme in the middle of the street and then a photo of Jason booking it while Dick gives chase, and the footage of Jason winning the gold will forever be immortalised in Gotham meme culture simply because Dick is seen in the background of the entire livestream, standing in the front of the viewing area with his arms crossed and fucking glaring into the side of Jason's skull without blinking or looking away for a second.
Ra's has to give a statement about how he agreed to house Bruce Wayne's second ward as part of a witness protection program, and when he comes back from the press conference he solemnly declares to Jason that 'being royalty wasn't fucking worth it.'
EVEN ignoring the importance of representation in mainstream media, Damian being a pale black haired blue eyed boy is just stupid from a character design perspective.
We already have three of those, the main robins are INDISTINGUISHABLE from each other, having at least one of them have a recognizable skin tone would do wonders.
And on the way, make Jason's hair curly for god's sake.
2026 Tiny Robin Update
SIDE PART DICK, CURLY HAIRED HEART BANGS JASON, MESSY STRAIGHT HAIRED TIM, FLUFFY HAIRED STEPH AND SLICK BACK TAN DAMIAN. you get it.
Am i a kid or an adult?
the sky's kindest, most radiant star
I have a headcanon that Damian prefers his siblings' partners to his siblings themselves.
I think the reason I like batlantern so much is because of how much it would suck. It's pure gold in comedic value.
Can you imagine how utterly done Oliver Queen would be with those two? How long until he takes an actual gun and shoots one of them in the head to end that boiling mess of a situationship.
Its so funny to be currently reading Tim's era of comics when the polemic about this plotpoint is going on. Because from my perspective, it seems just so well aligned with Tim's struggles and motivations.
Because all throughout his robin era, as long as his dad was alive and he had civilian connections, one of the biggest points of his character, if not the main one, was how much Tim hates to lie to his loved ones.
It genuinely pained him to have a double life, to the extent he even considered outing himself as robin to his dad, exposing Batman's identity too. Who was also okay with this even with his strict demeanor. That shows even Bruce himself knew how important being truthful to his close ones is.
Tim even took a break from robin when his dad found out.
Then his dad died, plus a LOT of other important figures in his life. Then all of the Red robin arc happened, and he was misserable. He disconected from all of his civilian supporting cast (the thing that made him stand out as a robin) until he started dating Bernard. This is why I think Tim deciding to take a break is completely in line with how the story has been going, going back to having a civilian supporting character, which was his main appeal before, brings back him questioning if the double life is worth it. I'm really excited to find out how this continues, hopefully not with Bernard dead as many of us are fearing.
Also, I don't think people saying that Tim "begged" to be robin and that it was all he ever wanted, and pretending as if he never doubted if that's what he really wanted (imo he's the robin that questioned it the most) have ever picked up a comic of his
Tim went into being Robin with the idea that he wouldn't be Robin forever. He didn't even want to be Robin really, he wanted Dick to be. He insisted on becoming Robin when Dick wouldn't. His place as Robin was always based off duty and belonging.
Heck, he literally almost completely quits a issue before he first meets Bernard due to the 16th Birthday fiasco. One the reasons he changes his mind is that he didn't want to lose contact with the Bats completely and was scared he would if he stopped being Robin.
Robin '93: Issue #120
Reason I think out of all his civilian friends to being back as a romantic interest, Bernard was a pretty good choice because Tim was friends with Bernard during a time where he was questioning his place as Robin/ with the batfam. Bernard was friends with him in time where he was both Robin and not. One the last civilian friends he had before he started pulling away from civilian life almost completely(Ives comes back for short time right before start of red robin run and end of Robin '93 run iirc, and also characters like Tam,but Bernard was probably last civilian friend he had when he was in a better state of mind then. Well- motions vaguely to everything post-identity crisis - you know) . It's no wonder he was the one Tim ends up reconnecting with especially during a time where he's unsure about what he wants to be outside of Robin. And who he wants to be with when he's taking a break. Tim no longer needs to be as scared of losing contact with the Bats,he also doesn't have to worry about not being about to return. He is more certain of his place in the family and team. Obviously the break caused tension between him and some the others like Damian and Steph(also why I think him reiterating that he will still be around and able to hang out with Damian so important, cause he understands that fear to some extent.)
Im excited to see where Tim's plot line goes tbh.
Oh Jason Todd…

Out of all the "smart" characters in animanga, Coco is the one that impresses me the most.
Because we have this constant trope of the genius that is just always a step ahead, can predict everyone's moves and it's just so emphasized how smart they are. They don't work around their universe, their universe works around them.
But Coco isn't like that, she just solves stuff, she always figures out how to fix the situation with the limited resources she has, her being so smart isn't shoved down our throats. I don't think 'smart' is the first adjective any fan would use for her, but when you start seeing her feats for what they are, you start realizing how impressive they are. Seriously one of my favorite protagonists of all time.
wifies did you mean to make them gay or was that like. unintentional.
