Getting into the finishing stages of this one, and now I need to be a bit more careful. Up to now I have been just making them to whatever size, but need to actually make these last few to size.

D - you realise how thoroughly you have been ghosted by the people you thought were your ride or dies and no longer seem to care that your heart is in bits and now can't decide if it's because I a) misunderstood the friendship in the first place and I was never important to them b) screwed up somehow and they did not tell me so I didn't realise c) am just boring to be with d) I got stressed and couldn't be as fun or entertaining anymore and so wasn't worth the effort e) stop masking no not like that f) they are secretly bigots g) I'm actually awful and irritating and why does this keep happening it must be me and people just humour me for a long time and maybe I don't actually have any proper friends just people who take pity on the awkward stupid girl because sometimes she's fun and then no not anymore I just think I might but now I don't

While the current situation is depressing for my English friends, here are some things to focus on:
As I mentioned earlier, for England it is a council election and not a general election so while it's important, there are things that they cannot do at council level.
While Reform have - as of the time I'm writing - won 1443 council seats in England which is the most of any party, there were over 5000 available which means most councillors elected were from a party other than Reform.
Sharing the number of council seats is misleading because if you win 50 in one area and none in another area but another party wins 25 in two areas the count will just say 50 for both. While Reform won the most councillors, they have actually only won control of 14 councils out of 136 at the time of writing. If they win all the ones remaining that would be 20, meaning that most councils who voted do not have Reform in control
Sky did a thing where they used the council data to predict the outcome of a national election and found that Reform's vote share is lower than it was just a year ago, meaning a drop in popularity.
Finally, the councils being contested today have for the most part not had elections since 2022 when Reform were barely even a thing. This means they are gains, the councils haven't been Reform before. The real test will be whether Reform can hold on to those councils once they actually get to enact their "plans".
This will genuinely help me sleep tonight.

Replaying the Imperial Agent and THEY HAVE EDITED IT OUT! Having once gained massive amusement from "Leg-AHHH-tay" and anticipating the amusement again, I get to the scene, start giggling in advance only to find they've changed it!
I suppose I'm glad they are paying attention, but mildly disappointed in the same way I was mildly disappointed when they remove Blue Jeans Guy from Mando and the stormtrooper banging his head.
(My accent is a fairly neutral midlands English accent, so I used to sound fairly "Imperial" before spending twenty years in Manchester.)

Finally done, and bright enough to photograph. This is the "travelog" quilt made from found fabrics, tote bags, tea towels, reclaimed denim and sew on patches.
I read recently that people with ADHD have a greater reliance on objects to anchor memory, and this certainly bears out for me. I know where every scrap came from in this quilt.
The quilt is called "I am what I will be." One of these days I might embroider that on the surface.
It's already in service on my bed. :D
