“You’ll be fine.” Addie said lightly, a slight laugh bubbling out of her. She knew that she could be intimidating, and a pain in the ass most of the time. She had been harping on everyone to be training without their wands, and she was just glad that people were listening to her. It was important, and she would never had pushed it so hard if she didn’t fully believe that. It could save lives, and she was already tired of funerals.
“Oh, I don’t plan on it at all.” Addison wouldn’t do anything easy, especially not when it came to training. “We’ll start with warm ups. I want thirty push ups to start.” Fighting wasn’t just about knowing how to fight - it was having an inner strength and knowing how to deploy that when it came time to kicking someone’s ass and making it out alive.
“Drop and give ‘em to me, Jones.”
Hestia groaned playfully, but still got down on the mat. Push ups at least she was used to. She used to have to do them at Quidditch practices while at Hogwarts. She hadn’t done them in a while, though. Hestia knew that she should, was well aware that she needed to actively work out more, but there just never seemed to be enough time.
She did the pushups, though she paused after ten to regain her strength, and again after twenty. She breathed out as she did, her heartbeat racing. Arms shook well before she was done, but she did them all. She managed to keep from collapsing when she finished, not wanting to embarrass herself. Instead, she sat up, butt resting on her heels and gave Addison what she hoped was a cheery smile. “What’s next, Coach?” she chirped breathlessly.
