2025's hetaween is officially over! ⠀ ˖ 🔮 ⊹ ࣪ ˖

we'd like to thank all of you who took part in this year's event (and also thank you to those who sent us some lovely little messages, they were really appreciated!). it's been an amazing year, we had lots of fun, we loved seeing your works, and we hope you all enjoyed hetaween too!

with our little spooky season now over, we bid you a warm farewell, and we look forward to seeing you again next year! but until then – happy spooking! 🖤

The days rolled into months. Before Abel knew it, a year had passed. No amount of prayer could return what was lost. No procedure could rouse the still heart.

After that, the stories began. People spoke of a monster masquerading as a man, and came to fear the long, dark nights.

Hetaween Day One prompt: Undead

Very fabulously late for the party but here’s mine!

Just a zombie apocalypse survivor and a boyfriend that got turned recently who she is hauling along. He got some bit of humanity left, he carve but only eats the bad survivors, so his mood will brighten up later.

The female in this is Sam Carpenter from the Scream franchise and there’s Portugal, they are one of my crossover ships. I thought I have some fun in a silly yet bittersweet thing of Portugal being a freshly turned zombie (he’s human in this, sacrificed himself to get bitten out of wanting to protect Sam from a zombie which she went kinda berserk on it then she managed to get a muzzle on him to stop biting then have him to walk besides her with some help) and Sam tryna survive a zombie apocalypse with him.

Perhaps a cure will be found there, one day for all and him…

Day 1 - Undead @hetaween-event

Afonso has not been the same since returning from his disappearance, but that was fine. Arthur still loves him, and he knew that they still had a chance to fix things between them. He was going to give them that chance.

I wrote this for the day 1 prompt but also sort of ended up including some of the prompts for the other days.

The sun had disappeared by now, dropped below the horizon. Darkness was creeping in. Ludwig had already lit the lanterns dotted around—one outside each tent, lanterns in the tent, and a couple in the surrounding area that marked the border of their little village. Before long, he’d see his own breath. The stars would begin to appear overhead.

Out of instinct, Gilbert pulled his jacket across his chest a bit tighter. He was not a fan of the cold. Out of all of them, in fact, it always seemed to hit him harder. Why, he didn’t know. It just did. It always did, and it always sucked.

Arthur woke to a sound.

It was like a scratching sound. A small commotion. A thump, then more scratching.

Arthur groaned, rolling over, face smushed against a sofa cushion. He breathed in and out a few times, but the sounds did not stop, and he eventually forced himself to open his eyes and sit up. But he wasn’t happy about it.
