Sabres show support for transgender player

When the Buffalo Sabres host You Can Play night on Tuesday as part of the NHL's Hockey Is For Everyone month, Harrison Browne, a forward for the Buffalo Beauts of the National Women's Hockey League, will take center stage.On Oct. 7, Browne came out as the first openly transgender player in North American professional team sports, and on Dec. 27, the NWHL announced a transgender policy that

This is amazing for Harrison and I couldn't be anymore prouder of him. Also I'm so glad the NHL and the Sabres are showing support for the LGBT community and starting to be more inclusive. 

It may be the smallest thing but I am so honored that my photos are used in a lot of these features. It’s a great feeling to see so many young girls (and boys) inspired by the athletes of the NWHL. If my images can help inspire the next generation of hockey stars then I will have been successful.
