Blue with a slight grey ring on the outline
A riffle crossed with a wand which are locked with chains, located slightly lower than his left shoulder blade, nearing the ribs.
In his second year as an auror Alastor lost his left lower leg, he wears a metal prosthesis now. Apart from that he still has a scar and a bullet stuck near his ribs. He never got it removed.
Do they have any nicknames? Where did they come from?
Normally only Al simply to shorten, or his last name.
How do they usually dress? What do they wear to sleep? Do they wear jewelry?
Alastor is quite fond of a heavy coat he usually wears, it's pretty worn down by now, but he wouldn't ever throw the thing out. Other than that he likes practical things, a habit he still has from his times in the militia, as well as his fondness of his heavy combat boots. As jewelry is quite hindering he never wears any, apart from his former dog tag from the army.
Is there anything about their appearance they wish they could change?
What do they smell like? Why (do they wear the scent or does it occur naturally)?
He wouldn't mind his own leg instead of the prosthesis.
Alastor doesn't smell dirty, however not of cologne either. He just had his own scent, mingled a bit with whiskey and the scent of fired bullets he can't get out of his coat.
Do they have an accurate mental picture of their appearance (how they see themselves versus how the world sees them)?
Definitely. Alastor knows he is intimidating, and possibly does not seem attractive to everybody but he is not out for that. That people fear him he likes very well and is perfectly aware how rugged he seems to the world.
What are some of your characterâs hobbies? What do they do with their time?
Hobbies? Alastor doesn't really have many hobbies apart from his work. However he likes to spend some time at the Tonks' home, playing a little with Nymphadora. That kid is special to him.
Probably olive, black or navy blue.
Favorite music artists? Movies or TV shows? Books or authors? Actors?
Alastor does not care about any of that.
Political stance? Are they active in politics or do they not care?
Seeing as he is already the most reputed Auror in the ministry, one can tell that he's politivally very active.
What are some of their pet peeves?
Blood supremacists, naivety.
What sort of gifts do they like?
Moody doesn't like gifts.
What is their favorite time of day? Favorite weather? Season?
The auror prefers night most, simply because all the filth comes out in the open in the dark. For weather he has no special preference as long as it doesn't snow. Snow reminds him of his stay in Russia, a thing he'd like to forget most. And every season, apart from winter obviously.
Where do they like to spend their time?
In the shabby pub shortly before Knockturn Alley, or at his place, even Ted's home.
Favorite food? Favorite drink? Hot drinks, soft drinks, or alcohol?
Pretty classical: mince and tatties. His favourite drink is anything you can add alcohol to, and he rather prefers hot drinks, mulled wine he likes. No soft drinks and any alcoholic beverage.
Alastor has a thing for wolves. But also badgers. Probably the reason why he likes Ted.
Do they have any pets? Do they want any?
He owns no pets, they'd be a burden.
He practices his charms, spells and curses for his job, but sometimes he can also be found in a run down firing range in muggle London.
Do they have any bad habits?
He is not just suspicious, Alastor is on his sure way to become straight out paranoid and has a bad habit of too quickly accusing people of bad intentions or criminality. However in his favour it has to be said that his instinct hardly ever betrays him. Other than that he shuts people out and can be quite rude.
Where did they learn their abilities?
First at home but eventually at Hogwarts.
What is their financial situation? Do they have a job?
His financial situation is pretty stabil and actually not even bad, his auror job at the ministry pays off well due to his high rank and top score.
Is there anything theyâve deliberately sought to improve at?
Do they speak more than one language?
Unvoluntarily he has picked up some russian from his year there, neverhteless he hardly ever speaks it because it brings back bad memories, only in situations in which he isn't quite on edge, or not awake yet, he happens to accidentally throw in a few words here and there. Else only English.
