Hand lettering tip:

SKETCH. Draw out your lettering in pencil first.

INK. Outline with an ink pen (02 Micron), applying slow, continuous pressure, being careful not to go short and choppy with your lines.

ERASE. Once the piece is all outlined (and dry), go back and erase the pencil lines.

On a particularly shitty day, went through an old journal of mine and came across this. It’s not about the past or the future. It's about being here, right now, owning shit. This phrase got me out of my funk. It forced me to stop thinking so far ahead and playing the coulda, woulda, shoulda game. I hate that game! If I just focus on what I can do right now to kick some serious ass, that's all I need.

Do yourself a favor and stop feeling guilty for taking time for yourself. As an introvert, I used to feel so guilty for needing a break from, well, anyone and everyone. I'd flake out on plans or feel selfish for wanting to just go hang out with myself. I didn't understand that I needed that recharge time in order to be my best self and to not be a straight up bitch to the people I love most. Now, I take the time I need. Whatever it is that you need to be your best self and do you best work, go do that. Do you!
