a soft chuckle falls from her lips yet itâs not the good kind. itâs more the kind that is saying âweâre so doomed.â in less than a single word. there was a reason she never took this lift and for a split second as they were getting into it said though had slipped from her mind. and oh boy was she regretting it. sure it meant being in a small space with mason but in the overview of things that was the last thing on her mind-until he placed his hand on her waist that was.
as there seemed to be no one responding she didnt utter a word about his little joke. while she had calmed down a bit there was still something in the back of her head causing her to freak out. olivia had never been so happy for someone to be cut off from their words in her whole life. she was about to say something to whoever it was over the speakers but mason seemed to step in for her. her face turned from a happy smile to one that could be described as âif looks could killâ. âwhat the hell mason ?!â the words left her lips as she continued to glare at him. it didnât even register with her that they didnt have any cards at all until a few moments later. taking a few steps back she soon felt her back hit the coldness of the metal and she bit her lip. âiâm sure youâve got some ideas?â she asked rather timidly. it wasnât because she was nervous around him, oh no that wasnât it. it was more to the fact of what exactly he could be thinking of right now.
the boy hummed at the girlâs words, looking up at the ceiling and down at the floor, looking for an escape out-- not that he could find any or risk his life in becoming part of some sort of real life horror movie called the lift. âitâs not that bad.â mason let out, not sure himself if he was speaking the truth or making up a little white lie. leaning against the mirrored wall, he let out a sigh, lips curving into a small smile. âtheyâll fix it soon, iâm sure of it. no worries, liv.â the boy continued, reaching his arms out for the brunette in front of him.
it was obvious the girl was stressing out aboutthe thing that had just occured, it wasnât an everyday thing being stuck in an elevator after having your first date, somewhat reminded mason of all the movies n television, the crappy ones that would air on your lonely monday evening. âhmm?â he asked as he heard her talk, the stern voice she spoke in making him look up, if looks could kill he would be dead. âiâm sorry, we shouldâve taken the lift.â he let out after it was obvious no one was listening to their conversation anymore, his cheeks a little red. a smug grin left on the boyâs face once he heard her words, feeling in his empty pockets. âwell.. sadly i forgot i donât have any cards with me.â he let out, walking over to her and placing his arms around her waist, looking down at the petite. âiâm not very good at pretending either, how âbout you?â mason continued to talk, âiâd say we go netflix and chill, but no way we can get a flatscreen in here, so how âbout we skip that and move onto the chill?â
