Jihyun did her best to take long and fast strides without actually jogging. Well she could jog, but arriving all hot and tired in front of her friend didn’t seem very appealing. It made more sense for her to push herself too hard when he picked up the phone or else she’d probably be panting too much too. She was making up a lot of time though. “I’m not taking too long! I’ll either be right on time or earlier. I’m always reliable!” Jihyun chuckled to herself. Well at least he sounded alright right now. “Where are you? I’m almost there.”

She stayed on the phone with him while she turned the corner to the club, and then she found him sitting outside with his phone to his ear. Sitting? Was he out here the whole time? The thought made her chuckle. “Yo,” she raised her voice to him rather than on the phone.

Jihyun waved her hand to get his attention before hanging up and looked down to study him amusingly. Her head tilted to the side as she knelt in between the gap of his extended legs. It was probably difficult to study just how drunk he was upon initially laying her eyes on him, but she hoped that he could stand and that his legs were still functional.

She held out a hand for him to grab and help him up. If he was as drunk as he seemed to be in his texts, Mark probably needed as much help as he could get from her. “Dude, you look so cold. Have you been sitting out here the whole time?” Jihyun spoke to him in English, finding that the most comfortable language with him. She checked her phone for the time, smiling softly and showing him the screen. “And see? Look, I made it in time.”

his face turned but his eyes were unable to see anything, he could hear her voice but at this point his vision seemed too blurry to make anything out of the shadows and bodies walked right passed him.

his eyes closed for longer than he was able to keep them open, folding his legs at the knee and casually wrapping his arms around them, yes he was cold, he shivered wildly, trying his hardest to remain awake even while having Amber in front of him, he was too drunk. 

“you know if you’re on time you’re late” he laughed, his slurred words only making sense in his head. “and I’m superrrrrr cold” he whined, struggling but trying to stand up. stumbling over and landing on all fours “it’s okay, I’M NOT DRUNK” he said raising his voice as if he was tryna make a point. taking another shot at standing up straight and actually doing it “seee” he grinned, brows raising at how accomplished he felt, for no reason .

“are we going to drink some more?” he asked, wrapping an arm around her shoulder for stability “or what are we up to? why’d I call you?” he asked confused as he turned to face his friend.

with his explanation  soojung feels a tad bit better–but she also feels like a complete idiot for not realizing sooner that she dialed an unknown number. how did she even manage to switch the two numbers to begin with?

she thought she was going to have to experience one of those horror stories her co-stars have told her about. how they were forced to change their number because someone managed to figure out it was them; the thought alone of having to explain that to her manager made her sick.

He glanced at the first messages before exiting the texts and shoving the phone back into his pocket, he didn’t know how to respond.. and it was clear that the person on the other side didn’t feel comfortable texting a complete stranger. He didn’t either, but he didn’t think too much about it.  Being distracted from the sudden and multiple vibrations he could feel in his pocket he pulled it back out, shaking his head as he skimmed through the message. 

[ sms ; ??? ] it’s fine don’t over think it, if anything we’re both at fault.  [ sms ; ??? ] also I’m a foreigner, here for business so I don’t watch much tv.

his reply making him sound a lot older than he was but it was the truth, the only reason he was in Korea was the club that was passed down to him by his uncle.

19. two things my muse has recently complained about

not being able to find a restaurant in the area that has decent Mexican food, like that in L.A

about it being faster to walk to work, rather than driving because Korea has too many cars and traffic is worse than L.A, thinking it didn’t get any worse than traffic back home, but he was wrong, so wrong.

7. what my muse’s room currently looks like

Mark’s room is clean and very neatly organized, he dislikes feeling dirty or a mess; therefore he’s totally anal about everything in his room, from the way he folds his sheets to the way things are placed around his bedroom. To him, his room is just perfectly arranged but to others it may seem a bit of a cluster, others may think he was poor organizing skills, but as long as he can get around and find everything when needed then he don’t care too much,

the morning consisted her of waking up before the sun even rises and her manager driving her to the next filming site. to say that she was tired was an understatement, considering the first thing her stylist comments on is how she’s going to have to conceal her dark circles more than usual. but because she remained busy she couldn’t get a chance to look at her phone until later in the afternoon.

when she does, she’s startled to find out that she had been texting an unknown number the entire night. did they know that, too? did this person pretend to enlighten her for their own amusement? her stomach twists and she has to lie to her manager for why her hands were shaking while they were in the middle of eating.

[ sms : unknown ] i’m feeling fine [ sms : unknown ] who are you, though? [ sms : unknown ] did you know that i had texted the wrong number all this time?

she seems confident and straightforward through text, but in reality if she was face-to-face with this person she would be a stuttering and panicked mess.

busy with getting everything ready at the club, he ignores his phone completely. It was mostly set to silent whenever he was at work, just ‘cause he had other things to focus on that were far more important than a call or a text. Reaching into his pocket for the time, he noticed the messages, received a little over two hours before he could see them. 

bewildered by the words the texts contained upon finally opening it, “huh?” his nose scrunched up, wrinkle lines forming as his top lip rose upwards, the number has been strange to him too but he figured it was his mistake on not saving the number, what-the.. if anything it was her fault for texting the wrong number.

mark headed into his contact list, quickly editing the name from yt gal to ???, not because he intended to keep it saved but for more of sign that he actually didn’t know the person

[ sms ; ??? ] i honestly figured later that you knew me but the sudden text, and I didn’t say anything once i noticed because.. well because it if was someone’s number that i needed to save, well I didn’t and I didn’t want to upset the person
