Bound: Soup-pocalypse and The Great Curry Cataclysm by SquadOfCats/@norelationtoatticus
When I joined the binding community, predominately on Instagram, it became clear pretty quickly that exchanges are the place to be. I couldn't find quite the right exchange to take part of, most of them were of ships I don't read, but then.... Oh then. the 2025 Binds Go To Pride exchange. Make it big, make it loud, make it glitter sparkle and shine. Say no more. This was everything. When I was assigned my giftee, a fellow drarry lover, I know I had to bind Soup. I already had an idea for it, all that was left was make it rainbow and shiny. So I did.
I used AB rhinestones for the prints on the front, back and spine. The letters were painted with black acrylic ink and the wings with clear acrylic mixed with holographic black glitter.
The end pages and cover itself is actually glitter too.
I used acrylic ink to paint the edges and glittery thread for the end bands
This fic was written for a food related event, and every chapter has at lest one dish mentioned in it. so I decided the each chapter will have it's own recipe, and sourced actual real recipes (Including for butterbeer!) from the web, including each recipe in it's relevant chapter as a chapter head.
Ah yes, the gutter is also rainbow throughout.
I was privileged enough to get permission from @ivmaruva to use their gorgeous art for my typeset including a commission made for @holygnocchi. this art is truly inspiring and we are so lucky, as a community, to have such talent amongst us <3
This fic is so fun and has so much details which gave me such a huge freehand to play around with. This was the typeset I enjoyed making the most.
In the fic, Harry gives Draco a mug. When I laid out this chapter I needed something to fill an empty part of a page, so I "designed" (using canva) a version of how I imagine this mug will look like. It turned out so freaking cute imo.
When I saw it on the page my brain did a small summersault, and I realised I could actually send this little drawing to a printer that can actually make a real mug! I tell you this was once-in-a-lifetime spark of brilliance. AND it's pink inside. I sent it together with the bind to my giftee.
When I finished this bind back in May it was my favourite one to date, I'm still considering making myself a copy.
Alright I think that's it! I think it turned out super fun and according to the assignment - rainbowy and glittery!
I hope this is a finger in jkr's eye, and I hope she'll end up a lonely bitter pruned lemon. Maybe she already is.
