Madame Rose

For as long as I can remember, writing has been my passion. I've never been one to believe that I alone could change the world. But with words- just stringing together words- I can make people think. And that's just as good. If you, perhaps, stumbled upon this blog serendipitously, I go by Madame Rose. I work as an anonymous columnist for The Washington Post. My anonymity permits me to share stories of my past faults and flaws without judgement of my current person. This way, I can help to show my readers that there are certain things that just come with being human, and are unavoidable. The goal, after all, is not to live forever; it's to create something that will.

Oh, you’ll meet her. Just not all of her crap. That way, the room’ll be all cleared out so you can have your own room for whatever you want to do with it. 

That’s a huge deal. I’d hug you when I say congrats but you’re there and I’m not. Still, that’s pretty great.

Just unpacking and getting laundry done. Helping my roommate move her stuff because she’s already got a new place so I’m really alone here until you come.

Nothing really. Just story telling with college kids and accepting the job offer I got from that school in Philly I applied to teach Kindergardeners at. No big deal.

I…really don’t know what to say to all that since I’m not nearly as good at this whole words thing like you are. All I know is whatever you said, it probably would’ve made me cry too. And not even in a manly way. It would have been some seriously ugly crying. 

I’m not all complicated either. I have one feeling, and it’s that I love you. Plain and simple.

Yeah, come to think of it, that's pretty probable, I cried a lot in high school.

Speaking of emotions, I went down to the university to talk to a couple students that I know about giving them the shop. They stopped by to take a look around, and asked about why I was leaving, where I was going. And since I was such a good storyteller, they persisted, I just had to tell them every little story there was to tell. And I told them our story.

So that's why I cheated on the no crying rule. because you, Jake Puckerman. You give me a whole lot of feelings that I still don't understand. And I love each and every single one of them.
