Rooney actually confirmed that the Dark Kiss was something the Larian team discussed internally, so it turns out this fan theory wasn't just wishful thinking after all. We didn't come up with it out of nowhere, there really is evidence for it in the game itself.
At the same time, the way Tav/DU is turned doesn't match either D&D lore or even the information the game itself gives us about how vampire spawn are created. According to the lore, a spawn is bitten, buried, and most importantly - is absolutely never allowed to drink their creator's blood. So Tav simply can't be a regular spawn. Which raises the question: then what are they?
Now it's even more obvious that all the similarities to the Dark Kiss that fans have been pointing out for years really do have a solid foundation.
It's just a shame that Rooney now seems to have to choose his words so carefully to avoid yet another wave of accusations about "romanticizing abuse" and all the other nonsense that antis and people who are obsessed with talking about "healthy relationships with vampires" love to throw around.
Healthy relationships... with vampires. We've really come to this
Astarion's endings according to fixers be like:
Free Camera when Ascended Astarion waits for Tav to wake up in the epilogue:
🫠❤️
Also, Someone is very obsessed with me and hates Ascended Astarion that much... They argue with my every post, while they blocked me 😂
It's genuinely fascinating when someone blocks me... and then apparently keeps tabs on every post I make 😂 I have fans who go into the Astarion tag hoping to see something positive about their favorite character, and instead they find your meltdowns over my posts, so I am aware of you, dear.
Imagine hating Ascended Astarion so much that he becomes a full-time unpaid job. Imagine blocking someone because you supposedly can't stand their content… …and then spending your time screenshotting their posts just so you can complain about them. 😂
Darling, you are so obssessed with me, I'm going to vomit. Such hatred for Ascended Astarion… Maybe you should just make positive spawn content? Hmm? Or spend that time on psychiatry @cosmicrequiemorb .....or Rote? You have so many accounts... 😏
Meanwhile Spawn Astarion 🤣
I'm always thoroughly entertained by these eye-reading analyses, you know - "the pixels in his eyes are controlling and cold". 🤡
How the spawn fans are baffled when you turn their own logic against them–by bringing in-game choices and preferences into real life. Both sides can play this game.
And, of course, they called the second comment misogynistic. 🤡 I suppose it’s about double standards.
