A minuscule glow radiated from the royal resulted from the upturned lips he cast towards his adviser. Golden hues, however, remained steadfast; searching for any sign of indignation or jest in Ja'far’s feminine features.

“Is that so, Ja'far? I’ve never heard such undermined language come from you–at least, not in a long time. You’re ‘COOL’ with me, huh? No matter what happens?”

King Sinbad allowed a chuckle to reverberate in his chest–of course he know Ja'far was “cool” with him.

;hey-a guys, just wanted to pop in and give a quick update (or PSA, rather).

I am quite aware of everything going on in the manga with all the updates and such, HOWEVER, I do not believe I can portray Sinbad the way he is now. I fell in LOVE with Sinbad’s character before he got to where he is now. Needing an appointment 8 months in advance in order to have an audience with him? No—that’s not the Sinbad I know.

MY Sinbad, if I decide to keep him, will be portrayed as a PRE-updated character, meaning everything in the latest arc will NOT pertain to my muse. I am aware that a lot of you may not agree with this, so please, instead of berating me about it, just do the simple gesture of unfollowing me rather than making a big deal out of it.

Geez, this got a bit long. Anyway, I just wanted to get that off my chest. I might stay online if there’s anyone that’s even up for interactions with me..

An Eye for an Eye || AU

{ 🐍 } – Gloved hands gripped the cold metal that weighed heftily in his hands. He was used to the feel of gunmetal in his grip. The moon was thankfully enshrouded by the clouds tonight, a storm brewing. His breath came a little quicker as he positioned himself on top of the roof, the frigid air making his breath turn into fog. The rifle in his hands was seemingly getting heavier in his fingers with each moment that passed.

He ignored his nerves and steeled himself. Ja’far knew that if this mission went as smoothly as possible, there’d be hell to pay from the enemy.

But not for him, at least. Ja’far wasn’t even planning to stick around long enough to be caught in the crossfire anyway. He was for hire. No loyalties to tie him down to any one person or group permanently.

It made it easier for Ja’far to stay somewhat neutral. To keep his head down and stay out of sight unless he was called upon. The only thing that shackled him to this town- to certain people, rather- was the debts that he owed. Naturally, anyone wouldn’t want to have to owe somebody favors.

But for Ja’far, in this town, owing favors was a matter of life and death. And today, if he succeeded, his ledger would be perfectly clear of any debts he owed. He could finally break away from the havoc that threatened to tear this city apart. Not to mention, he’d be granted a fat stack of cash and freedom. It was all a very sweet deal that Ja’far had to take for a price.

The price in question?

Kill the leader of the enemy.

Something was different in the calm evening as moonlight seeped through the glass window adorned with velvety violet curtains, not disturbed by even the trees with limbs usually casting a daunting, shadowy figure upon the walls. No—it was too quiet. Too calm.

Disruption is common, unlike tonight where the rats themselves quit scuttling the sewers, scratching at the walls, && crunching between the jaws of a blood-thirsty feline. This—this night was dreadfully tranquil.

Sinbad—The Don, Boss, or most commonly known as K I N G to his men && fellow Mafioso, was more than aware of his oncoming threat, but when? Soon after realizing the midnight’s eerie stillness was a sign of danger, the man made extra precautions in making sure he was safe, but not obviously so.

Why?

He wanted his attacker to come. Try as they might to tear him down from his throne, watch them bleed as his hidden henchmen brought them to their knees to beg for mercy.
