ooc:
hello this is my first rp blog so ^^ (i keep updating/slightly changing parts of his lore or character but it makes him interesting i think)
About Lucas:
Personal Info: His name is Lucas Fitzroy, he is 14, and his godly parent is Dionysus. he is a trans guy, and bisexual, but is also clueless when it comes to romance and relationships - he's probably on the aromantic spectrum, though he can't be bothered to ponder upon it.
Appearance: He has naturally dark hair in a messy self-cut style, and the ends are dyed red. he's fairly tanned as he doesn't really burn, and has a few freckles across his face, and his eyes are a muddy green colour. he typically wears a flannel shirt over his camp tshirt, paired with grey cargos because my guy loves pockets, and black converse which are covered in doodles and graffiti from everyone else in his cabin.
Friends: He hasn't got many friends outside of his cabin, mainly cause he can be quite mean
Backstory/pre-CHB lore: his mother was really shitty and so he ran away on numerous occasions until he finally got to camp halfblood after being found on the side of a motorway by a satyr searching for pan, who swiftly brought him to chb. his mother used to smoke so despite his habits, he never touches cigarettes and always avoids smokers, but sometimes, when he feels really bad, he might smoke (usually weed rather than usual cigarettes) and the fact of that feeds into the cycle of self-hatred.
His mother moved from the uk to the us (Connecticut) before he was born (this is just so i can justify my use of any british phrases that i use normally)
He's very fucked up so if you're an easily triggered person (mainly in regards to things like drugs, alcohol, sh, suicidal ideation and similar stuff), please tread carefully, because I'm bad at remembering to tag tws and cws. those things aren't necessarily going to be always mentioned or whatever but also who knows where an rp will take you.
Powers and stuff ig: he can turn water into grape juice and has one hell of a poker face. he's a really good actor; probably how he manages to constantly get away with stealing/sneaking things like alcohol and drugs (nothing big, just like cheap coke or whatever) for himself.
Fatal flaw: inferiority - thinks he's the worst and a bad person so he just plays into that role. gets emotional if told that he's appreciated/loved and stuff like that
When he gets to know people he's nicer i swear, but otherwise he can be a bit of a dick, more snarky and pissy than actually mean.
He has insomnia, hypermobility and some other kind of physical disability that affects how easily he can move and exercise (not projecting at all hahahaah i would neverr /sarc)

"Oh, great," Lucas mutters, rolling his eyes at the sight of the bloody, sobbing teen. "You ain't gonna last long whilst injured and crying, my gods."
He approaches, dodging attacks to get close to Arlo.
"You are a mess." He remarks, but sighs, aiding Arlo in keeping people at bay. "C'mon. Stop crying so much, and let's get out of the open. Go somewhere quieter or whatever."
Why the hell are you helping such a liability? He thinks, but pushes the thought aside for now. It's easier to play the role of the uncaring idiot when he's not questioning his motives.
He walks ahead, sword gripped tight with his head tilted slightly. The sunlight slowly dims as the trees get denser and the canopy thickens.
"Here's good." He says, sitting at the base of a tree and planting his palm on the ground, causing some strawberries to grow, eating one himself. "...Want a strawberry?"
"Okay, don't answer me. Whatever." He says under his breath, then looks at Arlo to answer her questions.
"I'm Lucas, and we are in the forest. At Camp Half-Blood. How don't you know that?" He leans his head back against the tree trunk. "Who're you? And are ya gonna say why you're crying or are you gonna stop, cause frankly, it's irritating."

Mar had gotten used to running away from places, she ran away from home and she had ran away from the people that she considered a family on the streets, she always ran away, so she never quite undid her small, beat up bags, that and the fear of getting stolen from, hoarding the food that was given at camp and the very few things she kept from before getting to camp. Even then it was obvious she hated the place, she was sure she didnt fit in. It was impossible she was one of them, a "demigod", a child of a greek god, it sounded like a bad joke, it was the opposite of everything she was taught, so she did what she did best: leave, run away, or atleast try to. She waited until night to do so.
And that's where you found her, almost out of camp grounds, with her clothes and shoes covered in dirt, mud, new and old blood and leaves, her knees scrapped, red with blood and her face serious, it made her actually look her age, even if it was an unlike expression.
So... what will you do now?

Lucas had been doing his usual evening walk, the thing he'd been recommended to do before bed to "help him sleep" and stop him returning to so-called "bad habits" when he'd seen Mar.
"You know, if you're going to run away from camp, there are way less obvious ways to do it." He slowed to a stop a few steps away from her, but close enough to have a clear enough picture of what was being attempted.
"Seeing muddy and bloody people while on an evening walk isn't pleasant for anyone involved, is it?"
"personally, I love seeing muddy and bloody people while on evening walks." she said, pulling out a dagger without even turning around before fixing the bag over her shoulder "I am not gonna 'run away' from 'camp'."
"Well, to each their own." Lucas' eyes fall onto the dagger, head tilting as he watches her.
"Really? So that bag on your shoulder - just carrying it for fun, then? Just... chilling at the edge of camp late at night for absolutely no reason? Cut the crap." He shoves his hands into his pockets. "I don't care if you're running, I won't say anything. I just think you chose a terrible spot to use. Anyone could walk past. Anyone could see you... report you..."
"I reside on cabin eleven. You leave your things there, they dissapear, and I would much rather my bags dont dissapear, mkay?" Mar rolled her eyes "you better not say anything, even if Im not running away. But sure" she shrugged "let them report me, I'll just cut their tongues off, or I'll just beat them up, really seems like it'd send a message."
Lucas clicks his tongue. "Yeah, that'd send a message alright, but cutting off someone's tongue would lead to horrible shit like crying. Eugh. Fair enough about the bags though, I guess."
He nearly smiles. This person was interesting - blunt. Exactly the kind he held an innate respect for, even if it mildly irritated him at the same time.
"I'll say nothing, worry not, oh great 'resident' of Cabin 11."
Mar frowned, looking ever so disgusted "ew, not crying, that's gross..."
She finally turned around before tilting her head, hands still resting slightly on the strap of her bag "are you mocking me? If so, I can cut your tongue out too. And Im pretty sure this is rusted, maybe you'll get an infection."
"Not mocking. No need to give me tetanus or whatever." Lucas clears his throat. "And I quite value my tongue."
After a second of silence - during which he stared at Mar's rusted dagger - he speaks again. "Yeah, crying is gross. I despise those whiny little children that cry at the smallest of issues."
"I dont know what tetanus is, just know it sounds very disgusting but it also sounds like it'd be fun to give to someone..." Mar said, half slipping into thought "right? Always so sensitive... I would never cry."
"Yeah, tetanus is horrible. You get, like, muscle spasms. Imagine one of the youngsters getting it - then they'd have something to cry about for once." A malevolent smile emerges as he mentally entertains the idea.
"oh, yeah, I snuck in there to see if they had anything cool I could find, and I saw someone with a weapon stabbed through their leg, very cool things happen there" Mar says, staring at the pebble
"Cool," Lucas mutters amusedly, cursing under his breath when the pebble skids out of reach. "Wish I could've seen that. Instead I see idiots who nearly drowned, or tripped and broke their nose or something stupid."
"very cool...'" after a minute of silence she talks again "I broke my nose once! It bleeds sometimes! And its also curvy now" she laughs "and my parents also tried to drown me"
Lucas pauses - he isn't really sure how to respond to that. Who does know how to respond to someone saying that their parents tried to drown them?
"...Nice," he settles for, giving a nod and a fucking thumbs up. "Uh... yeah. Um. My mother locked me out of the house for three days straight once. Not as bad as drowning, of course, but, um. Yeah."
"nah, dont worry, it didn't work... clearly... sadly but I think they just wanted to shut me up, its fine. Being locked out sounds worse" Mar answers casually, still half-laughing
Mar pulls her bag back over her shoulder when she noticed it slipping off, looking down at Lucas, quickly taking another grape and eating it as fast as she did with the last one"why do you like them?"
"I don't know," he says, voice quiet. "Maybe it's that lie we're told as kids. That dead people become stars and watch over you. Also, like people, stars change."
He clears his throat at his realisation of sentimentality, and quickly repairs it. "Or perhaps it's just 'cause I like space, and astronomy. Probably that."
"dead people become stars?" Mar asks, eyes widening in awe, ignoring the 'lie' part "people do change... a lot.. I guess that's just how Life works or whatever."
"Some people believe so, yeah," Lucas nods, deciding to not shoot down the idea after seeing Mar's wide, awe-struck eyes. "Yeah... Life's fucking weird. Sometimes you hate it, other times you don't."
Mar sits down next to Lucas, flapping her hands ever so slightly before noticing and grabbing the strap of her bag again "that's cool... and well, life's always weird, only thing that never changes... d'ya like life?"
Mar thought for a few seconds, looking at the stars too, half-squinting "not really... but, you know, we'll all die eventually, we just have to wait..."
"demigods arent even real" Mar says, side-eyeing him back with a slight sad look before opening her bag and taking out a pack of cigarrettes and offering it "my parents told me... y'want one?"
Mar raises her eyebrows while watching Lucas' face and body languague before sighing and putting them back with a smirk without lightning one for herself "your loss then..."
"I sincerely doubt it's a 'loss'." Lucas says, voice quiet and sharp, not relaxing even as the topic changes. "Anyway. Back to the topic of demigods; we are very much real. Have you not seen Percy Jackson literally move water? Or other scientifically-unexplainable phenomenons carried out by people in this camp?"
"You'll get over this denial phase eventually. All the unclaimed do. But sure, believe what you want."
After a pause, he looks at Mar. "Why are you don't you think you're a demigod anyway? Most people that I've met who've wanted to deny that this is real are those whose parents were killed, but you don't seem like you like yours - you said they tried to drown you. So... why?"

So... why?"
