The worst (Part 2) | [Worst] Wolverine/[Male Iron Man variant] Reader
So many thoughts, and each one makes him feel worse.
Quick Notes : Hello! Here is a continuation of my [Worst] Wolverine/[Male iron man variant] Reader drabble/oneshot! This one was a bit harder to figure out the tempo of, especially considering the first one was only about 800 words, but I believe I made a satisfying continuation! There is room for another continuation set after this one, but I think I will only continue this story if it is requested. Simply because, I want to focus on other possible drabbles/oneshots without fully leaning into one idea. Of course, if a continuation is requested, I’ll write it!
Story Details : Roughly 1200 words, Deadpool & Wolverine spoilers, Male Reader is referred to as ‘You/Your,’ implied tragedy (Reader), Cliffhanger ending
You didn’t want to join the resistance’s efforts in attacking Cassandra. Logan knew why, of course - to lose the people you cared about twice over would drive anyone mad. He’d watched you for most of the night within the void - watching as you fiddled with your repulsor gauntlet - until at one point, Wade woke up. The mutant waking up caused both you and him to sigh heavily, but at least you didn’t outwardly show your annoyance.
With Wade awake, he quickly attempted to drag you into the resistance’s scheme, but you shot him down so quickly and harshly that even Logan was surprised.
“I’m not going. You can face Cassandra with the others,” you stated bluntly, your fiddling coming to a stop as you flexed your fingers within the gauntlet you wore. They moved slightly, drawing the mans’ attention as he watched your face twist into one of bitterness. There was more to the story, and both he and Wade knew it.
Of course, this was Wade, and that meant both you and him were well aware that the mutant wasn’t going to leave you alone. A scowl etched your lips, the repulsor gauntlet covering your hand letting out a sudden spark when you moved to clench your hand into a fist. You sighed heavily, and for a split second, Logan almost felt bad enough to try and help. He didn’t, of course, but he thought about it for longer than he normally would.
“Come on, you’re a Stark, aren’t you?” Wade piped up from beside him, the mutant suddenly well aware of how close they were as he tried to keep his focus on you - on your reaction to the mans’ prodding words.
What you said next, however, wasn’t what Logan would have guessed. Hell, if you’d given him a million years he couldn’t have guessed what you’d say.
The scowl on your face deepened, your free hand picking up the screwdriver once more as you tried to force it between the plates,
“Not anymore.” Bitterness coated your words like honey, though they were anything but sweet, “I don’t claim the name Stark, and I never will after being dropped in the void.”
Logan felt his eyebrows raise, his gaze flickering to Wade as he noted the fact that his fellow mutant looked just as surprised as him. When Wade moved to open his mouth, he cut him off,
“There a reason for that, bub?”
You paused, your hand stilling for a brief moment before returning to its task of pulling apart your repulsor gauntlet and shoving wires back into place. It was clear you weren’t keen to discuss your reasoning, your movements jerking as you tried to keep the anger clearly simmering below the surface at bay.
Instead of answering Logan, you turned away in your chair, resting your gauntlet on one thigh as you dug in between the metal of it. The base fell silent once more, Wade glancing at him before patting him on the shoulder in some sort of silent bid; Logan shrugged his hand off.
Both the mutants could sense you were done with the conversation, and reluctantly, both Wade and himself chose to depart to their designated sleeping areas, exchanging glances that said more than words could. Logan had spent most of the night speaking with you - learning every little thing you offered him - and an odd pang quickly filled him when you’d all but dismissed his question. He knew he shouldn’t take it personally, he was similar in that way, but he couldn’t help it. The desire to know why was all that seemed to bounce around in his mind.
Logan didn’t get much sleep that night.
When the resistance departed the next morning, you remained at the base, still working on that infernal gauntlet like it was the only thing left for you. He wanted to say something, anything to convince you to come along and help, but the mutant knew it would be useless. A trait carried across Stark’s was they were stubborn - even if you didn’t claim that name anymore - but it showed loud and clear in everything you did. You were stubborn, already half a genius if Logan had to guess, and from the small things you’d told him, you knew your way around the void more than you let on. He wanted to make you come along, but he knew better.
Logan tucked himself into the trunk of the car, giving the base one last glance before the door was closed. From one window, he could see you watching, the look in your eyes one of eternal hatred - or perhaps a sense of bitterness - before you turned away and returned to your spot at the table.
Electra’s voice pulled him from his thoughts, the woman adjusting her weapons before the car lurched forward and the group was off.
“He’s always been like that, you know,” Logan looked towards her, noticing Wade’s glance as well, “He’s been here for years, and he never leaves the base. We’re lucky if we can get him to go find food.”
A frown tugged at her face, Electra’s brows knitting together in some unnamed emotion; Logan couldn’t tell what it was.
“He’s always working on that damned repulsor gauntlet, and I don’t think any of us have seen him with his full suit before,” Blade added coolly, cleaning the rocket launcher he held in his lap.
Logan gave a quiet huff of annoyance, his gaze focusing on the quickly fading base. What kept you from leaving? More importantly - at least in his eyes - why were you the worst Iron Man? He knew he was the worst Wolverine, that had been made abundantly clear by the fucker from the TVA, but it was hard to believe an Iron Man could be the worst at, well, anything.
“He got a reason for that?” The mutant asked after a pause in the conversation, leaning back in the trunk as he crossed his arms, “Or ‘s he just rough around the edges?”
None of the resistance spoke, and that was answer enough for Logan.
His thoughts drifted back to when he’d met you the night prior - when you’d been almost obsessively tearing into your repulsor gauntlet - how you hadn’t told him your name, only the term you’d been called. It made him wonder who’d called you that enough for you to seemingly believe it. The thought made his stomach twist uncomfortably, much to his annoyance.
Logan zoned out from the conversation Wade was having with the others, unable to hide the vague worry that had begun to fill his chest. He shouldn’t be worried about you - he barely fucking knew you - but the feeling just wouldn’t go away. Before he could mull on it further, the mutant was pulled from his thoughts.
The worst | [Worst] Wolverine/Logan X [Male Iron Man variant] Reader
Logan hates the void, but he hates it a little less after he meets a bearable Tony Stark - except you aren't exactly a Tony Stark he recognizes.
Quick Notes : I haven't actually written for Logan before, but I'm obsessed after Deadpool and Wolverine so... Here we go. I might write a part two, but I'm not sure yet.
Story Details : Deadpool & Wolverine spoilers, Reader is male but referred to with 'You/Your' pronouns, about 800 or so words, light angst, Logan drinking (obviously), cliffhanger ending.
Logan disliked the void; he disliked it nearly as much as he disliked Wade, which was a lot. Through the entire thing - the fight in the damn honda odyssey, getting the hell away from Cassandra, even getting brought to the resistance hideout - the only thing he wanted to do was down a few bottles of booze and crash for the night. The conversation he’d had with Laura made him feel… odd. It was hard to explain, and Logan wasn’t exactly known for being ‘in touch’ with his feelings. Hell, he preferred to drown them in alcohol over talking about them or even feeling them.
The mutant was drawn from his thoughts (and the bottle in his hand) when the door to the resistance opened, your form entering the hideout. He felt his nose scrunch - the stranger smelled like rust and metal, an unpleasant combination. You looked up from something in your hand, glancing at Logan before giving a curt nod and moving towards the nearby table. It was then that he caught sight of a slight blue glow just peeking out from overtop your undone top buttons; an arc reactor. Logan grit his teeth, tearing his eyes away as he downed half the bottle - of course he’d have to deal with a damn Tony Stark variant, it couldn’t have been that Wade was awake, it had to be him.
A grunt from you pulled his attention back towards you, his gaze soon affixing to what was in your hand - or more accurately, on your arm. It was a repulsor gauntlet, probably part of a full suit if he had to guess, with the paint faded and scratched. With only a glance, he had a feeling you’d been here a long while.
“You’re the first Wolverine I’ve seen here,”
Your voice cut through Logans’ thoughts, and he couldn’t help the bitter scoff that left him - of course you’d know who he was. Shaking his head, he approached your spot at the table, taking a seat across from you as he watched. You were fiddling with your repulsor gauntlet, the screwdriver in your hand digging between the metal plates as you scowled. For a brief moment, he locked eyes with you. Huh. It was then that he fully took in your form - really looked - and noticed that you weren’t quite the Tony Stark he was used to; you didn’t even look like a Tony Stark.
“You gonna’ tell me how you got here, or are you gonna’ keep staring at me while I work?”
Logan huffed at your question, bringing the bottle of booze to his lips as he regarded you. He didn’t particularly want to talk - especially to a damn Iron Man - but he relented, the alcohol flowing through his system loosening his tongue.
“The jackass known as Wade got us both stuck here,” you paused at his words, arching a brow as Logan took a swig, “He pulled me from my universe to try and save his.”
He could tell something about his words had struck a nerve because the moment he mentioned his own universe, you all but glared down at your gauntlet, your movements with the screwdriver less controlled and precise.
“Least you’ll get a chance to leave,” came your bitter words.
It was now the mutants’ turn to raise a brow, his eyes watching you - analyzing you - for any sign of what set you off. He looked away, tipping the bottle of alcohol back as the liquor slid down his throat.
“You been stuck here a while?” Logan found himself asking, surprising both you and himself.
Even more surprising, you looked up from your gauntlet and nodded, your expression softening as you tossed the screwdriver onto the table and sighed,
“Been here longer than most. Had the TVA approach me to join the fuckin’ ‘sacred timeline’ or whatever, and when I turned it down - tried to warn the Avengers - they sent me here. I got every one of my mates killed.” Logan frowned, but didn’t interrupt. Even to him, it was clear you didn’t often talk about your past, “Cassandra’s been tryin’ to get me on her side for ages now, but I refuse. I’m a genius, not a fuckin’ lap dog for some deranged bitch.”
That got a bark of laughter from the mutant, who shook his head in amusement; you had the signature ‘Tony Stark’ cockiness, arrogance might have been a better word, but you seemed more down to earth than the one he’d known of back in his universe. You seemed to have a shadow following you, something hidden to everyone that kept you locket away; it was something he could relate to.
“You got a name they call you?” Logan asked, taking another swig from his pilfered bottle of alcohol.
You hummed, returning your focus to your repulsor gauntlet as you picked up the screwdriver once more,
“I’m the worst Iron Man.”
I've been thinking about this one for awhile. How would be with someone with a physical mutation? I'm talking humanized godzilla. Sharp teeth, hardened scales, non-prehensile tail, and claws/talons for hand and feet. Godzilla s/o worries that Kurt wouldn't want to be with them and be labeled as the 'monster couple'. Also, godzilla s/o loves their mutation but is jealous of Kurt's prehensile tail cause he can actually do things with his.
Beastly but Beloved
Kurt Wagner x gn!reader
Words: 0.5K (so short, I'm sorry)
Okay, so, first of all, I don’t think that Kurt would care at all, if you have some sort of physical mutation. After all, he’s also not quite a “normal” looking person. So no worries there.
However he is somehow a little bit more protective of you, if you have a special mutation.
It’s not like he doesn’t know, that you can handle yourself pretty well. It’s just that he loves you very much, including the way you look, and Kurt doesn’t want you to feel insecure about it in any kind of way. You’re stunning!
If you have a mutation that need constant cleaning to avoid attracting sicknesses, he practically volunteers to help you take care of it.
Whether it be feathers or scales or any other kind of skin mutation, he just loves to let his fingers over it to make sure that they are perfect.
If you, on a very rare occasion, do get insecure, he will not stop appreciating your body, until you’re back to normal and if that means, worshipping you the entire day, he is happy to do so.
If those insecurities have been due to another person, they can be sure though, that the next days will not be good ones. I won’t delve into it, just know, that you’re blue boyfriend is, as mentioned, quite protective.
In the beginning of your relationship you were especially insecure. After all, Kurt is this amazing, caring, respectful man and you are simply you.
Rest assure, those thoughts don’t really last that long. Kurt spends a long time, convincing you with a lot of body worship, but eventually succeeds. However, this does not mean that it will stop him from worshipping you.
Though as much as he loves to make sure that you know how appreciated you are, he also loves to tease you.
At one time you let it slip, that you are a little bit jealous of his tail, since it’s prehensile and very agile and useful, unlike some of your mutations and since then, Kurt has always made sure to pay special attention to you with help of his tail.
So be prepared to constantly feel the tip of his tail running up and down your back, being handed stuff just with his tail or catch your boyfriend hanging down from the ceiling with the help of it.
And though you always act annoyed, you have to admit that it can be kind of cute.
Kurt however always makes sure not to go too far and actually hurt your feelings. He just wants to tease you, not harm you. After all, you’re his love!!

Scott sat under one of the big oak trees on the school grounds, trying to find peace despite the prominent pounding of a headache taking a toll on him. He dealt with them frequently, popping a few pills back and waiting until they kicked in. So, here he sat, picking at the wild flowers that grew from the ground. Some would call them weeds, others would say it's part of the world's natural beauty. He twirled the stem of the flower idly in his hand, so caught up in his own world that he didn't hear your footsteps approach him.
"Don’t." He immediately says once he notices you, maybe a bit harsher than he actually means. His posture relaxes a bit, but he’s too in his own head to apologize. His fingers tighten around the unfortunate dandelion he had picked, and he looks like he’s about to blast a hole through the ground with how hard he’s glaring at it. "Your headaches are back, aren't they?" it didn't take a genius to know when something was wrong with Scott. When a guy who is usually so friendly and outgoing towards the other students turns sour, you can tell he has a problem.
"How did you know?" Scott replied, a bit defensive. The question caught him off guard, and he immediately stiffened again. He hadn’t even been able to turn around yet to see you, and he hadn’t even told you about his headache. Granted, they happened so often, that it wasn’t unlikely that you just knew. "Because you're usually never alone like this," you answer, and he was silent for a few beats then let out an exasperated sigh. Scott was a bit embarrassed that you saw right through him. He had chosen a more isolated spot, but of course, you had noticed. You were too observant for your own good, and was always somehow always able to see right through him. No matter how hard he tried to hide.
"Can’t get anything past you, huh?" He asked, rhetorically. But as dense as you were, you shrugged out a response "I am the professor's daughter after all." Scott snorts, because yeah, he supposed you were right. You were Xavier's daughter, and the two of you were so similar. He turns back to you, a bit of a smirk playing at the corner on his mouth, which is rare for him at a time like this. "You saying you somehow got all of your Dad's mind-reading powers, too?" He teases you. "No. I didn't get any mind-reading powers," you reply, stepping closer to him.
Scott's shoulders relax a bit as you step closer to him. Despite his tense mood, he can't help but be at least somewhat comforted by your presence. He even moves over slightly, making a spot for you beside him. "Good. I don’t think the world would survive if you got mind-reading powers, too," he jokes. You sit down beside him, sinking into the soft grass below "I just got his wicked smarts and wittiness."
"Smarts and wittiness is a pretty powerful combination," Scott points out, with a shrug. He’s still crushing the wildflowers between his fingers, though he’s relaxed more the longer he’s been sitting with you. "Could probably take over the world pretty quickly if you wanted." He teases, because there’s no doubt in his mind that you could take over the world if you wanted to. "Yeah, right." You roll your eyes playfully, not taking him seriously one bit. "I’m serious. Nobody would be able to stop you. You’d get away with everything. You could commit a multitude of crimes. Murder. Robbery. Maybe even arson. Hell, you could probably even kidnap." He replies, even though he knows that you're much more honorable than that.
"Jeez. You're making me sound like Pietro now," You scoff, shaking your head. "That’s an insult, honestly. You’ve got a far better moral compass than that guy, and you’re much less annoying." He retorts, a chuckle leaving his lips. "True, but at least the guys got a good stash of weed." You smile, gazing off at the other students playing tag in the open land. Scott rolls his eyes, because of course the guy is selling weed. "So that’s how you know him." Scott says dryly "Does your dad know you’re stealing weed from Pietro?"
"My dad can read minds, of course he does." you respond, as if it was the most obvious thing ever. "He just told me to be safe," you shrug "I think he was doing way crazier shit in his teens than we are." Scott snorts because he had no doubt in his mind that Charles had done some wild stuff in his young adult life. Sometimes it was easy to forget that Charles had once been a young man, with interests and hobbies and vices like anyone else. "Oh god, please don’t do anything that the professor did in his youth."
"I won't, I won't." you raise your hand in defense. "Good." Scott says firmly, but the smile is back on his face. The two of them sit in silence for a few moments. And Scott can feel his mood and his headache starting to slightly ease, just a bit, now that you're here. He lets out a long breath, and he’s not crushing the remains of the flower as hard anymore. "I guess it's good you can’t read my mind." Scott says finally, half-teasing. "Hm? Why?" you question, quirking a brow at him.
"You’d get annoyed by how often my mind changes." Scott half-jokes. But it’s not really a joke. Scott changes his mind and overthinks things so often that it would get annoying pretty quickly, judging from the few times he’s accidentally projected his thoughts to Charles. "You’re probably better off not knowing what’s going on in my brain. It gets pretty dark in there."
He lets out another breath, and he stops crushing the flower in his fingers entirely. Then he turns to look back at her directly. "You…you said something after our last mission. Remember?" You hum in response, nodding along. Scott takes a moment as he tries to formulate his next words, and he’s suddenly hyper-aware of how close you two are sitting. He glances down at the inches of distance between your legs. "Do you remember what you said?" Scott asks finally, glancing back up at her, almost hesitantly. "No, I don't." you answer.
Scott thinks for a second, silently cursing at himself. You probably either a) doesn’t remember it at all, since it meant nothing to you, or b) do remember it, and is trying to save him from the humiliation of remembering. Scott wasn’t sure which would be worse. He almost just decides to drop it and let the conversation pass on, but a moment of courage overtakes him, and he just bites the bullet and says it anyway. "You…you told me that I deserved better. Do you remember that?" Your response was to press your lips together and look away from him "Yeah.. I do.."
There’s a part of him, a voice in the back of his head, that tells him to stop this conversation now before he humiliates himself. But that bit of courage he’d grabbed ahold of is still there, and Scott pushes it aside for the time being. "Why did you say that then?" He asks, keeping his voice as neutral as possible. "Because.. You don't deserve the burden that your eyes cause." You explain, unable to make eye contact with him. Scott’s brain scrambles for a moment, and he suddenly feels butterflies stirring in his stomach. No, no, he just had to be misreading this. That’s all. There was no way that you actually meant that. He swallows, and the words that come out of his mouth are a bit awkward and forced, and he knows you will be able to tell. "That’s…that’s not the only thing you said."
"What else did I say?" you ask. Scott’s heart feels like it’s going to beat out of his chest, and he feels like he’s going to be sick, but he swallows down his anxiety. He can’t afford to chicken out now. "You…you said that I deserved someone who could make me laugh." Scott responds, looking straight at you. "Oh, right.." you mumble, he swallows again, because suddenly his throat feels like the Sahara Desert. He forces himself to keep his voice even, and he finally says the words that have been on his mind for so, so long. "And then you said…you said I deserved someone who could love me, despite it."
"Yeah, you do." Scott’s heart beats faster, because you said it so easily. So matter-of-fact, like it’s such an easy concept for you. Like it’s just been there, the whole time. "Do you actually…" Scott mumbles, his head feels fuzzy as you turn your head to look at him. He swallows, throat still feeling like sandpaper, heart beating out of his chest. "Can I.. uhm.. ask you a question?" you nod your head. He takes a deep breath, and this is it. This is the moment. This is where he either jumps off the cliff, and falls, or doesn’t. "When you said all those things…about me deserving better and being happy with someone…did you mean…you?"
"Maybe," you answer, biting your lip "Unless you like someone else.." Scott pauses for a moment, because he wasn’t expecting you to be so direct. He was expecting some half-answer, for you to give him a hint maybe. But you're as blunt as your father. He shakes his head, because he definitely does not like anyone else, and he’s been completely obsessed over you for a long, long time. "No. No, I don’t." He says firmly, causing you to blink in surprise. You didn't expect him to be so honest.
Scott suddenly has the insane idea to reach out and grab your hand, so he does. He reaches over, and his fingers brush against yours, and he gently picks up one of your hands up with his own. "It’s only you," he says, his voice barely a whisper. Your eyes widen slightly "Really?" He gently brushes his thumb over your knuckles, hesitantly he laces his fingers through yours. Then he nods, and he’s looking at you almost shyly. "Only you," He confirms. His heart is still beating faster than his brain can process, and Scott doesn’t think he’s ever felt this nervous in his entire life.
You lean a little closer to him and in a moment of bravery, he dares to bring his other hand up to rest on your cheek. He turns to face you fully, suddenly hyper-aware of how close you are. your hair smells good, he notices; it’s sweet smelling, but not in a completely feminine way. More like a summer rain and spring flowers smell. And soon he can’t think of anything but how much he wants to kiss you right now. "Scott," you whisper, grabbing his attention. He exhales, very much so out of his comfort zone. For once he can’t plan and strategize his next move. He just has to go for it. But, he doesn’t really care about that anymore. "Can I…" His voice is soft "Can I kiss you?"
"Please do." You answer, your words send a wave of relief over him. And as if he was about to go into battle, he suddenly gains a rush of confidence. With the hand that’s still holding your face, he gently tilts it up towards him, and he leans down, his face so close to yours. "Please, tell me if I’m a shitty kisser." He mutters against your lips before closing the distance between them. You kiss him back, placing your hand on his chest. Scott immediately feels like this is what he’s missing for his entire life. His whole body feels like it’s on fire, but in a good way, and all the noise in his mind goes quiet. For the first time in he can’t even think, he just feels like he’s home. Your eyes squeeze shut as you lose yourself in the moment.
Scott deepens the kiss, his thumb brushing over your cheek. He presses his body against yours, he can feel you grab onto his shirt and he’s suddenly addicted. You pull away a second later, gasping for air. Scott actually lets out a huff of a laugh, because he isn’t used to feeling this breathless, like he’s just run a hundred miles nonstop. "See? I told you I was a shitty kisser." He grins and teases, in a slightly shaky voice. "The worst." you reply, chuckling a little. "Shut up," He mutters, pressing a kiss to the skin just under your jaw.
You ruffle his hair a bit "You know.. I got a blunt in my room." Scott laughs again, because you guys could not be two more contrasting people. "Of course you do. Why am I not surprised?" He shakes his head playfully. "Come on," you say "Let's get high and makeout for a while." He has a million reasons as to why it’s a bad idea. He should be in his room, going over the training regimen for tomorrow, catching up on paperwork, looking for any news or threats Xavier should know about. But he doesn’t care about any of that. He’s suddenly feeling reckless. He stands up and offers his hand down to you "Sounds like a plan to me."
Star's notes -> Should I make a part 2 where they get high (and have sex)?? Anyways, on my third day of school as of posting this and I am very tired already
