you mentioned this when I asked you in a comment, but for a long answer, what would happen if the the no scroll squad landed together in Sens spot? The dynamics of how each of them got there would bring mega angst or ride or die friendships.
Alright, I should probably explain first what the No Scroll Squad even is for those who don't know;
It's about three real girls in a ninjas' world.
Or rather, something my two Mutuals and I came up with ā Ashiro and Kyo. Both have their own Ninjago SI | Isekai fanfiction with a teenage girl Protagonist from our world, landing in the world of Ninjago.
And well, The Dreaming Whip.

Sen dreams of a real adventure ā wandering the world freely, just like a story. But those are just dreams. Yet suddenly, her dream felt so real...and somehow, it just don't wanna end. Sen finds herself in the world of Ninjago and quickly realizes she is completely out of her depth. Lost on the vast realm of destiny, she must face the monsters of this world...but at least she's not alone. After all, she has a colorful team of legendary ninja as friends!

The Realm of Ninjago is made of legends and strings of fate. The thing is, Valās pretty sure she isnāt part of that fate. Especially considering Ninjago is. Yāknow. A childrenās show. But then she somehow finds herself thrown into this world, as impossible as it is, and with seemingly no way out. Now stuck between a hard place and the showās main plot, Val realizes that the cartoon wildly tuned down just how horrifying the place really was. What with the constant villain attacks and the prophecies that never stop coming, living in Ninjago is nothing short of a nightmare. So Valās making sure she wakes up on the other side of the screen.

Raven is deadā¦or at least, she should be. That doesnāt explain how she suddenly wakes up in Ninjago, or why she is surrounded by people who are supposed to be fictional characters in an animated TV show. How can she possibly act normal when she knows the grueling fate of nearly every person around her? The real problem comes in once she realizes exactly when in the show she is. The opening of Steep Wisdom and the appearance of a certain vengeful ghost could only mean one thing, right?
Their stories are all three pretty individual, having different roles. So the name NO SCROLL SQUAD came to be, cause' all three girls have in common, not having a destiny! None of 'em having a scroll in the Cloud Kingdom, not having a fate to follow. Which is a pretty heavy thing in such a destiny-driven show like Ninjago.
Since your question concerns all three characters, I discussed it with the other two authors. So much of what you'll read here comes from all of them^^
So, first of all: itās a really good thing that all three of them end up in The Dreaming Whip xD Iād argue that, at this point, itās actually the easiest environment for all three of them to survive in. In Wanderlust, you have that eldritch horror experience where everything is animated, and in Paroxysm...well, itās Season 5, need I say more? Plus, the advantage of TDW is that, as an Earth human, youāre resistant to many types of magic.
But anyway, the exciting part is the dynamic between the three girls. If we say that all three girls come from the same Earth in this version, I'd keep the way they arrive in the Ninjago world the same. And that would be:
"I GOT THROW OUT OF A CAR WINDOW AND DIED!"
"I LOST MY SISTER AS SHE DIED!"
"I, well...stood in front of my Lego?"
Yeah, Sen might be a bit intimidated by how hardcore the other two girls are xD
If all came to Ninjago the same way as in their canons. That means Val is gonna be completely soaked in blood and Raven, well, just died. Holy, I'm not sure if Sen wouldn't run away in terror of seeing them LMAO
I think one big thing of the dynamic between them is that despite being the middle one among the two, Sen probably feels like the youngest.
Val is 14, Sen 15 and Raven 16. But I'm pretty sure, just like with Nya, Sen totally treats someone like Val as the older one. Like an older sister. Which's also something coming from Val's part of sorts.
Here a little reveal of Wanderlust, where Kyo got me permission to tell; All three girls have siblings as people who read all stories know. Sen is a middle child, Raven has an older brother, and Val? She is the older sister of a younger sister, named Jade. And Sen is actually a little bit similar to Jade. This heavyly influences how Val would treat Sen!
Sen is very much similar to Jade, or at the very least Val's idealized version of her. It certianly would influence how she interacts with Sen. Val would get Extremely Attached and not want Sen out of her sight, given that she just saw Jade's corpse and blames herself for not being there for her sister while she died. She would definitely be more protective of both girls, and try to indulge Sen as much as she could, to the point she's almost fawning over her. She'd definitely overcompensate and not hold Sen's mistakes/flaws against her, and it would take her a long while of settling into Ninjago before she started seeing Sen as her own person instead of just projecting Jade onto her.
Sen would actually go along with it. Since sheās a middle child, she feels right at home between Val and Raven, but sheād easily slip into the little sister role that Val pushes her into. And Val would do a lot of projecting. So Raven, who actually has no experience with younger siblings, finds herself a bit stuck between these two younger girls who have sibling issues xD
That makes their dynamic...Complicated, Iād say? Because, in fact, I think all three of them would feel somewhat left out of the trio if they didn't communicate enough.
Sen would feel excluded because she considers Val and Raven to be much more serious and mature.
Raven would likely feel left out, as Val and Sen would really lean into that big sister/little sister dynamic.
And Val probably would too, since Raven and Sen both speak English, allowing them to communicate better with each other than with her, due to the language barrier. For anyone unfamiliar with Wanderlust: there is a language barrier there. Val speaks Spanish and hardly any English, which is a major issue in Wanderlust specifically, since Spanish doesn't exist in that world.
But hereās the funny part: in TDW, the Spanish language exists in Ninjago under a different name. That means the Ninja would actually understand Val!
BUT NOT RAVEN AND SEN! XD
The two of them can barely speak Spanish. So yeah. Imagine being Val, having the luck in not being alone in this nightmare except none of your companions actually speak your language. The fictional Lego Characters speak her language but not the other two girls literally also being from Earth.
Much of their initial interaction would thus be a desperate game of charades.
As mentioned; Kyo and Ashiro are handling certain things differently in their stories, but if we assume it's the TDW version of Ninjago and all three girls come from the same Earth. Mean Val and Raven actually also are resistent of Magic and more. Since, in TDW, it's something all Earth Humans would have. It's nothing special that just belongs to Sen. But if all three come from the same Earth, there's still something very different;
All three coming from different years.
I'm not sure about Raven, but she live's pretty near the current year. Since she knows Dragons Rising, compared to the other two.
I think it's funnier that way. All three of them land in Ninjago at the same time, but each from a different year. Val and Sen technically living a few years in the past, while Raven comes from not far ago. I mean, come on, the news she might bring 'em...
"Corona is finally over? Nice!"
"An Epic musical? Awesome!"
"Kpop demon hunters??? That sounds so cool!!!"
"Wow, hahah, the future is really great. What a shame we couldn't see. Is there more? Even better things?"
"...Wait...they vote Donald Trump AGAIN?!"
"The world is even more chaotic? How is that possible??"
The dynamic between the three of them would be very obscure because, even though they're all in the same situation, the beginning of their friendship would somehow keep clashing, I believe.
Sen is the one who started out with the least trauma. Val and Raven both share this symbolism surrounding death. All three are caught up in the same drama, but they would talk past each other. I think they have the potential to become really good friends. But it take time.
But you know, I think Sen at least would accept Val and Raven sooner in a sibling role. Since, you know...them being real š and understanding her situation the best. She still can't call the ninja family. But two from her world would certainly help. Oh, and since Raven has her phone with her like in Paroxysm. Sen totally beg her constantly for music xD I guess that also influence the relationships they have with the ninja. I feel like they'd be more close with each other, not having the chance to bond with the team like in their own stories.
If we assume Sensei Wu still takes them in, which I'm pretty certain of. He would insist in taking them in. Just imagine Wu shows up to Four Weapons with three girls behind him, and Kai has to live with them for his training arc. None of them are on the same page.
Something I'm not sure about is their roles.
In The Dreaming Whip, Sen becomes a direct part of the Team as the Gray Ninja.
Val get's to be the Teams' Medic.
And while Raven technically isn't part of the Ninja in her story yet, she does fullfil the role as an Oracle - or at least that's what others think of her.
But in this version? I'm not sure if Sensei Wu still make Sen a Ninja if finding her with Val and Raven. If he he make all three Ninja or no one. Because, if he would make the option and Raven and Val would both refuse, I'm actually not sure if Sen would want to. Since she would want to stick with them. Though, it's still fun. You have the OG-4 being ninja, and exactly four girls with Nya as well.
Even though I don't know if they would ever actually step into those roles, it is indeed an interesting parallel between the three of them.
As Oracle, Raven's role is one that becomes useful before the fight.
As a Ninja, Sen is someone who fulfills her role during a fight.
And as a Medic, Val's role begins at the end of a fight.
I think it would be really interesting to see how they handle it. All three have different philosophies. As we all know, Sen doesn't plan to change the story, whereas Raven tries to do so right from the start. We don't know about Val yet. So, how would they go about it here? Who knows.
Not to mention of the Cloud Kingdom having to deal with all three of them at once!
There aren't many SI/Isekai fanfictions for Ninjago, so it was great fun thinking about it. Val, Sen, and Raven share many parallels, yet their stories clearly demonstrate just how significant the differences are. Would you change the story? Risk everything for a world that was once fiction to you? Try to find a way back to your world? It's beyond incredible how different a story can go, dependents on how open or shy you are, what your morals are and in which part your story you actually find yourself in which role?
I love SI | Isekai stories, they're my absolute favorite. With The Dreaming Whip I write the story I'd love to read myself. And honestly? If Wanderlust and Paroxysm would've been posted before TDW, then perhaps I wouldn't have written my story since those two are exactly what I wanted to read.
