Considering today is completely bonkers on the whole hurricane scare/crazy wind front, I’ll post some pictures I took a few days ago. On the corner of Quinpool and Windsor there’s this huge, amazingly creepy abandoned-looking high school. It’s crazy. I must have walked past that thing 10 times before I noticed it. Funny how such a huge (and, friends, it really is massive) building could slip under the radar like that.
The place definitely has a certain post-apocalyptic-chic thing going on.
I just read in The Coast that St. Patrick's High School has now been declared surplus and is set for demolition. RIP, you creepy, beautiful thing.
Hey there, menacing-looking spider friend!
Halifax Armoury
Cunard Street in the evenin'
Cool.
Horseshoe Island
Had the pleasure of watching the almost otherworldly St Vincent tear it up onstage last night at the Halifax Jazz Festival. Without a doubt one of the most incredibly sincere and dynamic performances I've ever seen!
Sunday evening strolls along Windsor Street
