I totally did not forget about this blog, but I have decided to keep Nif-Prince the way he is, despite his complexion of having many different identities (he has his reasons. Leave him alone). If no one likes it, they are free to unfollow, and if they don’t like portrayal of him in general, feel free to unfollow.
Psst. I know I’ve been neglecting Nif Prince (cuz I’m still trying to figure his bio out without him having to “canonically” be the “real” Loqi), but y’all can find me here @vanishingnightstar or @heavenswardrealm or my personal @sybilofthestars. I may put Nif Prince on a hiatus until I get his bio figured out.
Yeah... Sometimes I regret writing Nif Prince here, but at the same time I don’t. I guess the thing I regret most is writing how complex of a character with a screwed up background he is. For his “canon” bio I think I might remove the whole “he’s the real Loqi” thing and make it some kind of AU instead, because I still like the idea of Nif Prince being the “real Loqi” and he’s not the Loqi we see in the game now. I like the idea that Nif Prince is Prompto’s older brother too but doesn’t know it...

Now this is merely just my opinion but I feel that your bio would feel a lot more smoothly done if you made this lovely muse a flat out OC instead of a twisted and quite complicated version of Loqi. OCs are lovely and one of a kind, and always need more love <3
Probably to this day in age now this muse that I call mostly Hamlet instead of Loqi (even though “Loqi” is his real name) would be considered an OC now. But I do like the idea that Hamlet is the “real” Loqi as to how Asch from Tales of the Abyss is the real Luke fon Fabre. Technically “Hamlet” was meant to be canon... but SE as we all know scrapped him haha. I still consider him partially canon, because Nomura I’m assuming made him first haha. I tend to feel like I’m either scaring Loqi RPers off, or it’s mostly because of complications and clashing headcanons or something, which I completely understand. IDK if I should consider Hamlet as an OC or not, cuz like I said, technically Nomura (as I am assuming) made him first but we never knew too much about Hamlet (and never got his name either) haha. A post about Hamlet that I saw, someone had a thought on what if he was meant to be Loqi. Peeps also called Hamlet “Prince of Niflheim”, so that’s where I got my complicated inspiration from haha.
But anyhow, I think I might make Hamlet being the “real Loqi” into some kind of twisted AU haha. Like I said before, I do like the idea of Hamlet actually being Loqi as well as being a prince and all, but what mainly gets to me is Hamlet having too many identities and a really fucked up background XAX Overall complicated. For now until further notice he’ll just be Hamlet Aldercapt/Ham Vesper and not know that he’s the “real Loqi Tummelt” and actually not a prince either. TBH I’ve kind of been neglecting this blog not because my Stella muse tends to take over, but for the most part is how complex of a character I made Hamlet, and I apologize for that and all of the confusion. Maybe I’ll just have him be a runaway prince... But then I also like the idea that he’s not a real prince ahhhh IDK XD If you have any ideas what I can do with this dork of a prince, feel free to toss me some ideas and inspirations and I’ll look into it! Also thanks for this critique <3 I really appreciate it and it does help me improve and think of better ideas and whatnot haha.

HAVING A FUCKED UP MUSE IS NOT EASY!
I’m so tired of seeing so many people saying: ‘you write a fucked up muse because you’re calling out for attention’ or ‘well it’s easier to have a messed up muse’ when it’s not really that way??? Having muses that are complicated, with their troubled minds, it’s actually pretty difficult. Having a muse that is scared of commitment and sleeps around IS HARD. You might think everyone does that to write smut and some people might just want to write smut (which honestly is none of your business either, nor in none of your rights to judge). But some of us/most of us do take a lot of work and effort to think what is more accurate for our muses to do. To not let our ships sail or to not allow our muses to be with who they love, because there needs to be accuracy. Having a muse who is always calling out attention or a muse that is always drunk/high is tiring because sometimes all you wanna do is to have them being stable, just a little while. You gotta think of their friendships, their relationships, their jobs, what they eat, what they drink, BECAUSE IT NEEDS TO MAKE SENSE. A troubled muse is exactly that: troubled. It’s not predictable, on the contrary, it’s so unpredictable and even to their muns. I talk for myself, when I say that sometimes it gets even frustrating for me because you’re rooting for their happiness but you know it wouldn’t make sense (yet!!) because THAT’S NOT HOW IT’S MEANT TO BE, IT NEEDS TO BE REALISTIC. Not to mention there needs to be a constant worry with other muns and muses. Sometimes some muns don’t understand how fucked up a muse can be and get upset about it ooc. Some don’t even read the about / rules page and go ahead assuming the muse is just trashy and disgusting. WHICH IS OFFENDING BECAUSE IT’S A MUSE we cherish, and it makes the mun of the muse feel bad for the way they chose to develop them. So please, next time you assume messed up muses have trash muns, think twice. And let everyone write the muses they want and develop them as they wish.
