would it be appropriate for me, a non muslim, to write a muslim muse who chooses not to wear the hijab because she's afraid of the islamophobia she could face? btw love the blog, used to browse it all the time back when i was considering converting to islam so it's nice to see u guys are still kickin around
hello ! i don’t see a problem with this concept, considering my mother nearly had my sister wait to put it on in 2016 because of the US elections, which shows it isn’t an uncommon thought and many muslims in the west have taken islamophobia into account when thinking of wearing the hijab. that being said, you are a non-muslim and the insinuation of this decision does have some negative connotations. while you writing this muse isn’t wrong and i wish you all the luck if you do, most people who don’t wear the hijab aren’t JUST forgoing the wearing of it over hate. muslims deal with hate and danger from the beginning of our lives and it isn’t something that we’re unfamiliar to, so the hijab’s pure articulation of our religion can be daunting, but it is something that we have to deal with when deciding to wear the hijab. in a way, wanting to wear the hijab from the purest and most personal standpoint negates the dangers in terms of decision-making, so that is to say that your muse might be having more problems with the hijab outside of it enabling her being targeted. if you want her not to wear the hijab, then interlace other reasons to increase the authenticity of this choice in the scale of a larger, less informed audience, as well as to keep you from making a major misinterpretation as a non-muslim mun.
also, thank you!! i’m glad that we could be of help and i wish you the best of luck in writing and elsewhere! if you need us for anything, we’re always here!! ♥♥♥

hey there! i'm from a predominantly muslim country and some of my muslim friends get really angry when i say "assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh" or "waalaikumsalam" (pardon the different spelling from yours as i'm sure it's also adapted to our language), while others (especially those i grow up with as well as muslim overseas when i was studying in USA) are always happy about this. i do study a bit about islam from my friends as well as i grow up in such community and from my-
-understanding it's nothing but well and beautiful wishes and i truly love it. i've gotten two very different answers from my friends and their family who say it's okay and that they feel happy of it, and those who are very opposed to non-muslims saying it (even when they say assalamualaikum to me). so, from a neutral zone, do you think it's okay to do? thank you and have a nice day!
hey there ! i’m currently living in the us of a so i’m surrounded by tons of non - muslims. that being said , our neighbors always greet us in arabic to be cute/courteous and we think it’s very nice. however , i see where the opposing side is coming from , as people still make a joke out of our greetings and purposely butcher the pronunciation for comedic effect. i don’t think that it’s offensive , but you are non - muslim and i’d find it most appropriate to respect the specific and individual wishes of each person regarding your greetings towards them. if they like it , then go ahead , but if not , just don’t use it ! historically and personally speaking , it’s not tied to a specific offensiveness. hope this helped and you have a nice day , too ! ♥♥♥
Do you take requests like dash icons?
we currently do not , no ! ♥
hello! i just came to say you’re doing incredible with this blog! you give so much information with your asks and you’re never rude about it. i feel like someone can give so much information but it’s hard to take it in when there’s attitude behind it. you’re just so helpful and sweet and you’re honestly doing so amazing. i really love this blog!
hello and thank you ! i understand what you mean and i personally see information as information , no matter the tone of it , but i do make a conscious effort to be very understanding and nice about the information being provided because i’m sure it’s less kindly received when people are being mean mid - educating. we just want everyone to feel safe about asking things they might have been too scared to openly question and know we won’t be mean about it. we give back the tone we receive and wonderful things like this always keep us happy and keep our responses happy. i hope you come here for any questions you ever have and that your day is wonderful ! ♥

i’m going to be doing work for the rest of the night , but i’ll check the inbox every once in a while and get to any questions/experiences/curiosities/etc. anyone might have ! while i’m not going to make a formal post on it , just know : this is not the first time we’ve gotten hate. this is not the first time either of us have had illness or death wished upon us or our loved ones. we like to keep this blog strictly educational , but just know that if you wanna say something to us , don’t be surprised when i respond back with the same level of nasty shit. you’re not scary LMAO we ALL know you think muslims are terrorists and want us to die , so make the hate original next time ! thank you ! ♥
the rpc is better because of you two. i have yet to see such amazing and well educated people in the rpc who promote such kindness and tolerance .... you are so loved.
thank you so much omg... you are also beyond loved and we’re honestly trying so hard to take our time out and do this , even if people don’t agree with it or like us for whatever reason they might have. you’re such a blessing and i’m glad to be here and interact with people like you. thank you again thank you SO much i love u ♥♥♥
