Financial assistance for black people affected by covid-19‼️‼️‼️
How to apply to get help and how to help below
This is a biweekly community money pot where members of the community donate to a community pot to be given to black people who’ve been financially affected by covid-19.
I personally will be donating $200 to each pot for as long as my finances allow so there will be a minimum of $200 per pot but hopefully that number will grow!
Every other Friday applicants will be selected based on urgency and severity of need and will be cashapped an allotted sum from the pot.
An announcement post will be made stating the recipient(s) and the people who’ve contributed to that pull as well as how much money was given. Individual donation amounts will not be public.
No amount of money is too small and it’s imperative that we help eachother survive during this time.
The first pull will be Friday April 24th 2020 and every other week after that for as long as there’s money to do so.

You have two options for giving, you can A) cashapp me the money to sit in the money pot or B) pledge a dollar to the pot by messaging me and pay the person (s) selected on the day of the pull and let me know when you’ve donated so that I can add your name to the Friday announcement list.
If you pledge, you’ll be sent a copy of the applications that are chosen so you know exactly where the money is going.
Please do not pledge unless you actually plan on donating. If your financial situation changes there’s no shame at all but please let me know by the Thursday before the pull. Once the recipients are chosen there will be an expectation that you will follow through if you pledged.
If you are black, you can apply.
Precedence will be given based on urgency and severity of need. So people in need of housing, medication, and food will take precedence over things like debt.
Precedence will be given to black women and black mothers but that does not exclude anyone from applying or being selected.
You need to have a tumblr that I can look at to make sure the request is valid.
Please submit the following format to my submission box.
What the money is for/ explanation of circumstances: I take X medication for X illness and due to X circumstances I am in danger of not receiving them for this month. The medication costs X and pick up costs are X
The more detail and the more proof you can provide the better.
