ok im jumping off of my umablr accounts to kinda explain the whole threats towards the kids.. not trying to defend anyone here.
the threats arent based on the kids being trans. they're based on the fact there are 7 opedoto fankid accounts, 36 kids in total, and most of them indirectly* harass others for not shipping opedoto.
(*as in through roleplay, trying to push other umablr accounts to force opedoto, ex: ..a good handful of blogs on here.)
"I don't care" = "It doesn't matter that they're trans."
The kids aren't getting attacked for being trans, they're getting attacked for people finding them really annoying. There are a lot of trans characters and mods if you dig hard enough. Umablr isn't "dangerous" to trans people. There's rarely any transphobic or homophobic content, unless it's for lore or roleplay.
"But.. Liz, why are they attacking me?" Long story short, you're technically a part of the opedoto fankid problem by running and hosting an account filled with fankids. I'm pretty sure for most of the other blogs, most of umablr has them blocked or they just delete hate in their inbox.
Imagine it like this, let's condense ships into being types of food. Such as, Opedoto = apple sauce, Opefujin = soup.
You (and the other people running the fankid accounts) like apple sauce. There are areas where people like apple sauce.
Making countless fankids, tons of accounts, and tons of posts to swamp the Umablr tag, is like shoving apple sauce down peoples throats.
Some people like apple sauce and don't mind. The others, however, like soup. So they really, really don't like it when you shove apple sauce down their throat.
No more analogy, back on track..
Most of Umablr revolves around the Opefujin plot going on. They got married. Lots of oldgen blogs know. It's practically been set in stone.
Trying to replace all of that with opedoto, including with fankids, is like trying to change the words etched on a gravestone. The best you can do is put a piece of paper, and people will rip that off.
This whole post is meant to explain why people are getting negative towards the fankids. Mostly because all of your messages (ex: "why are you doing this?" "cant i just have fun?") heavily imply that you don't understand why people are being aggressive. (/nm, not in a negative light)
As a word to you and the other accounts, whether you all leave or stay, please don't force ships onto others. The internet is bulit for cherry picking what you like through algorythmns and the block button.
Do you not like the Opefujin going on? Block that Opera and Fujin blog.
Do you want more Opedoto in your feed? Search it up and like all of the posts, like and follow the blogs that actually go through with Opedoto.
Getting more of something specific on your page is very, very easy. Swamping the Umablr tag and creating 36 fankids to terrorize roleplays is not one of them. You can't brute force your way into pushing the entirety of Umablr to ship Opedoto. You can't. Umamusume is built for multishipping.
^ This also applies to all of those Opedoto (and that one Tachycafe anon I saw) anons. You can cherry pick. Tumblr is built for that. Don't force Umablr to ship one ship, that isn't how a fandom works.
If you're really leaving, okay. That's fine. I personally hope you can find a fandom that feels more comfortable for you.
