Year 2 with Theian
Theian was made 29th May 2024, and since then I've been drawing and yapping about him nonstop for 2 years.
There's a lot I want to say, but will just summarise it as thank you for all the love and support you've shown me. I don't think I would have been able to keep drawing him without it all 🥹

2. Does your OC have any nervous tics or self-soothing habits?
Theian... is extremely fucked up. After murdering his parents at age 8, he ran into the sewers and spent 10 years in complete isolation. His development was completely disrupted and he was unable to grow into a self. He has various self-soothing habits that come out under distress but I won't go into details as it's a bit too deep ahah
3. Let's say your OC got kidnapped. What would save them?
If Theian were to get kidnapped he would survive by sheer endurance. If he's able to break free from any restraints, it would be through a sudden burst of power which would immediately exhaust him, or by complying until he finds an opportunity. He's not the smartest though so it might be a struggle
4. If your OC has a love interest, are they opposite or rather similar?
Astarion and Theian are similar and very different. Theian wants love, he is overly sincere and naive, and he is unable to read social interactions well. He didn't know Astarion was manipulating him and it was all a performance.
Astarion is cold and calculated, he intially uses Theian and abuses his naivety. Theian's sincerity disgusted him as it triggered his own pain and he took it as an insult to his suffering. He was uncomfortable because he understood Theian's pain, but seeing how different he saw the world made him feel insulted.
However he comes to accept the sincerity as a precious quality and decides that he wants to change and something real. This leads him to expres his feelings in act 2.
5. Is there a story behind making your OCs? What inspired you?
I just went into the game/Dark Urge completely blind and interpreted it through what I experienced and thought. I think Theian is an accumulation of my interests and values so he is very dear to me.
I'm inspired by emotional sincerity and contradictions. I'm always trying to understand why a character would do or feel something and explore the contradictions they carry.
