What to Ask Tarot
I find that broad, open ended questions work best when consulting a tarot reader, or when you want more than just yes or no. (If youâre reading for yourself and youâre only looking for a simple yes/no answer, then you do you!) As a tarot reader, I find it easier to guide my clients when they ask open ended questions. For exampleâŠ
Donât ask âIs he/she/they interested in me?â Ask:Â
âHow should I express my interest?âÂ
âWhat can I do to attract people that would be romantically interested in me?âÂ
âWhat is holding me back from finding someone?â
âWhat do I need to change to find The One?âÂ
Donât ask âWill I get the job/promotion/award?â Ask:
âHow can I make myself stand out as deserving of the promotion?â
âWhat qualities should I work on to make myself a better job applicant?â
âWhere can I improve?â
Donât ask âIs life going to get better?â (Yes!) Ask:
âWhat do I need to change to make my life better?â
âWhy am I unable to move forward?â
âHow can I move past whatâs holding me back?â
Donât ask âShould I leave my partner?â Ask:
âHow can I find the problem in my relationship?â
âWhat do I need to do to overcome this problem?â
âWhat issue am I refusing to face?â
âHow do I achieve a healthy relationship?â
Donât ask âWill I do well in school?â Ask:
âHow can I achieve my goals?â
âWhat pitfalls might I run into?â
Donât ask âShould I choose A or B?â Ask:
âWhat are the risks of each option?â
âWhat are the benefits of each option?â
âAre there unexpected side effects I should look out for?â
âHow do I be confident in my decision?â
Donât ask âAre my partner and I compatible?â Ask:
âWhat can I do to work through our differences?â
âWhere am I willing to sacrifice and where am I not?â
âWhat, if any, tension can I expect due to our differences?â
These questions can be tweaked to fit your specific situation! When Iâm asked yes/no questions, I try and answer them. But I also elaborate using the alternative questions to provide a more helpful answer so clients can ultimately make their own decisions.Â
If you donât know the best questions to ask, you can always just describe your problem and let your tarot reader handle the rest. If youâre reading for yourself, explore different aspects of your problem and see if you can turn it into a what/how/why question.Â
