Vibri Character Study (Vib-Ribbon)
⬆ Vibri is the main character from the game Vib-Ribbon -
⬆ - and its sequel Vib-Ripple, both developed by NanaOn-Sha.
⬆ She is a rabbit - a vector rabbit, to be more specific.
⬆ Vibri is very straightforward with her words. She won’t sugercoat anything for you - she’ll just be blunt
⬆ Vibri is very optimistic and is willing to push past adversity, as she encourages you in the tutorial and says that even if you make a mistake, you can still keep going. She also won’t stop skipping along until the end of the song (or a game over)!
⬆ Vibri doesn’t flinch or even think twice about leaping over obstacles. She is very mobile, and limber; she can do a backflip just for the heck of it. This is all even more apparent in Vib-Ripple, as you really get to see her show off her athletic abilities in that game.
⬆ Vibri is super emotional! She can have a frustrated, growling outburst, or even break down into tears from a Game Over. Seeing her cry makes me want to cry.
⬆ She tends to be very expressive overall; not afraid to raise her voice or emote herself.
⬆ Vibri is very silly, with a very obvious sense of humor, and sometimes refers to herself in the 3rd person. (”Vibri, is happy…” *Flys away*)
⬆ She must also like sweets as well… in Vib Ripple, she gets so happy over Cake and Candy - she squees out “Cakeeeee!!!~~~” and “Candyyyyy!!~~” She doesn’t get so happy with the other things, mind you. Just cake and candy. Girl has a sweet tooth.
⬆ She can also play various percussion instruments. Which is neat!
And of course… she is so incredibly musically inclined, to say the very least. Through most of the tutorial she is singing the directions on how to play. The title screen is her singing the song and intro.
⬆ And when you get a high score on a song, she even sings a specialized ditty just for you!
Overall, Vibri is an excitable, silly, musical rabbit gurl. She might become overwhelmed sometimes and break down as a result, but she is persistent nonetheless. She’d be the one to make you laugh with a quick joke, or sing a song on how happy she is for you.
