Hi! I'm Dingle. You may know me from a few things (some good interactions, some fandoms, some servers, some unsavory interactions) and also from similar sounding user names like "Dingle-dee" "dingledoob" "dingle" or if you go far far back "dingus" "snickerdoodles"... if you're from all the way back then you get a gold star my friend

To start right off the bat, I'm an artist and a budding animator who's practically into everything. And thanks to my autism I will get REAAALLLY into them, to the point that might be it for a what I post for a good while, especially if I'm on a good kick or there's a good running reason as of why I'm into that hyperfixation (comics, fanfiction, reactions, environment, language... sheer determination).

These hyperfixations can give and take, as of right now I'm into Avatar and Call of Duty - both at the same time while learning the Na'vi language for comics and a fanfic I want to write.

I still like my old hyperfixations as well as everything I've written, drawn, planned for them. They are more-so simply sitting on the burner. Which includes but does not limit to

- Rdr2

- the witcher

- sweet tooth

- portal 2

- My own projects

If you came for any of these, you might get blurbs or random drawings, but it will happen less often compared to what's in my eyes right now.

BUT. If you came for pizza tower, don't expect it again. Please don't ask me for it, please don't take my works and derive from it. You can draw fanart and ask about what I had but that fandom has been nothing but trouble for my mental health and I've just gotten out of it. My stalker and gR00mer came from that fandom, including those who egged me on to do unsavory acts knowing I was a minor among more i dont feel comfortable sharing as of right now. "The bonds are too hot to sell". Most of the people from that fandom I have blocked for my health and thats that.

Anyyyywaayyy on that note, to lighten things up! Shoot me asks about my characters - hell, TOO my characters is FULLY accepted and I'm happy to answer most stuff outside of the 4th wall (teaching techniques, ransom lore and whatnot)

My favorite screenshots of Sir Daniel Fortesque in MediEvil: Resurrection are the ones where he just feels like Just Some Regular Guy that doesn't even really feel like going on this magical quest through the magical fairytale and fantasy land but has to because some gargoyles and some little man living in his head told him to.

My takes with Medievil - a fucking ramble.

1. Daniel's human form makes no sense. Look, I get it, he's meant to be an unattractive shmooser with weak limbs and cowardly looking but frankly he looks nothing like his skeletal form. His skeleton is arguably tall, horribly wolfy and lanky, with an overbite with massive buck teeth and big eyes with a prominent brow. How the FUCK is he a tiny, small shouldered, little slightly lanky man. With no sign of hands the size of Texas. A lot of things are up to interpretation (hair, eyes, nose and mustache depend on the game/ the novel) but the idea he's not a bumbling lanky and wide shouldered fool with gangly limbs and wide eyes. Yeeaaah no. I'll eventually draw what I think his human form could look like. (Ressurection got close enough to what I think he'd look like)

2. Low-key. Ressurection got bashed too hard. The game sure is a bit rough, it's definitely not a try and true remake by anyone's standards and is a bit clunky in terms of camera and humor - but by GOD did they pull a 00s and make everyone wonderfully expressive. Dan feels like he actually has a weeeee bit of character growth, his expressions are hilarious and it feels like he has some impact with the world. The 2019 remake feels a bit... stiff? Especially in the emotions department. Meanwhile they had a jawless skeleton back in '05 look genuinely confused, scared, pouty and happy. The also gave him full on DIALOGUE. And maybe I'm dumb but I haven't seen his dialogue as developed in other games. Equally his diary is so fruitful with insight on his inner thinking.

3. There should be more content PLLLEEEEAAASSSSEEEEEEEEEE SONY

I learned of Medievil's existence and now low-key its in my top 10. I have no clue why this game isn't more popular or got a modern day sequel like Crash 4 or something (im aware of the 2019 remake but that's a remake in my mind).

I can't make any promises but he's rotating in my head and he's fun to draw. Gangly, lanky, British and cowardly. I may draw more. Sir dan is wonderful. All Hail skeletons.

Well I've hit the peak of my life. I started to re-watch starwars and remembered I have free will and practical self ship myself with Threepio already so I bit the bullet and made an oc.

Civi is a Twi'lek speeder autobody shop owner. She mostly fixes things and repaints them but has a nasty lack of patience for customers with no taste or kindness to give to her. She caved and despite not liking the Droid business (she thinks it's weird to own something that thinks for itself) found herself a protocol and etiquette Droid and along with him an R2 unit.

so how much were they stealing? Can you show? Your own design is pretty derivative of jay eaton’s centaurs including the wrist hand joint ratio and lung output holes (I think) on the neck, which don’t really feel necacary for a creature that’s clearly evolved from a small tree dweller like a lemur but with extra limbs, since the longer wrist/hands usually evolve on creatures that are running so the joint doesn’t snap the ratio is always smaller on climbers. btw this isn’t me calling you a rip off or anything to my knowlage jay eton is find with derivative work albeit all I’d think they’d expect is you respect when others are.

I actually worked on them before I knew who Jay Eaton was. They've been a long time in the make, the similarities ended up being just similar train of thought or same usage in terms of biology. I used to give them a secondary set of ex-venting nostrils but that was due to the fact I like James Cameron's avatar at the time and the Thanator, Ikran and other species had it there. After a while of development and learning what truly it would require biologically, plus the fact I realized I didn't like them AND after seeing Jay's work I realized that despite working on them for a long while before I knew they existed, the comparison would have been made.

Usually I don't care anymore however. I just moderate because no one actually knows what I'm doing (I have none of the story or anything about these characters properly online yet) and one note observations with no actual critique feel stale and just petty.

I made them with 2 arm joints due to the fact i would think it allows more leverage in trees as well as fine work. They're completely arboreal and figured theyd be more stable working their way around with those joints. I wasn't aware of the fact it made it more stable for running, mostly cause I don't do research on terrestrial animals that much and solely arboreal mammals and marsupials. But I may actually look a bit more into it if I can find any info on this.

I like Jay Eatons work, they are an amazing person and i respect them for being arguably a pioneer in the speculative biology community making it so enjoyable to many. But I'm doing my own thing and have for a while now, and there's no other way I can put it.

Now the other person? They just ripped the design and idea for the world I had made entirely. After I blocked them on tumblr they outreached and messaged me via reddit to which they asked again if it was okay to be inspired heavily and take the ideas to which I declined. They pushed, showed me a drawing which was basically my work but only slightly altered. I declined again (now being the third time I ask them to stop). I blocked them afterwards, due to being uncomfortable and removed my things from reddit for the fact they mentioned they found it via Google AI from what I gathered which irked me the wrong way.

I hope this response is clarifying enough. Because frankly I'm very tired to the point it's made working on this project that I've been working on for a while a tedious and unpleasant experience. Which kills me because it's so important too me.

When did I say I wanted a new tumblr..? I like my blog actually this has art tracing back over 4 years ago. I have art on here i dont have saved and mutuals i like. Equally I have blogs attached to this account. I feel like this is a scam to steal my url. Kindly, fuck off.

Sorry if I sound aggressive. I'm pissed at everything right now. Mostly cause I've had to bounce my email with my other and frankly I'm done with this blog but also not. I may just dive deep and delete all my PT work but I also know some people like that work so I don't want too. I'm also a strong archivist and the idea of deleting my account with all my side accounts is unfathomable unless I was hacked, forced too or otherwise. I'm probably just gonna weed through and manage it. Probably make an RB account out of one of my others. And I JUST had to deal with someone wanting to basically steal my work.

Someone just (I think) was like "I wanna add your aliens into my minecraft mod" and I declined cause I don't know you, I'm a student and minor I don't have time to manage that but also.... it's my stuff? While yeah inspo is fine I sort of worked on these guys forever (past few years really, 4 years now) and I don't know you??

I ended blocking them and deleting their comments about it not because I don't like them but I'm genuine nervous about stalkers and my work being used without consent.

Yeah no had every right to be kinda nervous. They were kinda giving me parasocial vibes (after dealing with Gin, yeah, yeah I smell it from a mile away) and their "inspo work" was just a straight rip of my work. I'm gonna lay off posting my work again now, or maybe to a designated IP. Either way there goes my stuff off google. Starting to understand why artists don't really interact.
