Sometimes I get brutally reminded I'm not as chronically online as I worry I am. And that itself makes me feel a bit better about life. Will never know about random side shit on TikTok and will probably never know about the latest trend, I still remember when it was cool to have scented markers and cool stationary and still think camo is a thing.

Only found out recently it isn't, don't care really though.

A bunch of Wilsons and an OC, My boyfriend got me into DS(T) and Wilson tickles my brain in the "Pathetic guy" department. I also am trying to work on an oc who's cursed to be a werewolf in The Constant (who may or may not be involved with Wilson). Anywaayyy pblblblblb

Actually did the grad thing, showed up in camo shorts and a band tee as everyone showed up in tuxedos and stuff and i showed up looking like i was hitting the local metal scene afterwards. Good times my friends, never want to go to highschool again.

You know what sucks, one of the main ways I developed my art style is through evaluating what I found appealing in my art idols’ styles and then trying to emulate it. Whether that be studying speed paints, using their brushes, or in some cases reverse engineering them because they don’t like sharing (that won’t stop me sorry). And then i frakenstein them all together til it forms something new. But nowadays kids can’t do that without someone twice their age call them out for theft and have their flying monkeys come harass them. Oh BROTHER 😭

My take on a Human Sir Dan because I refuse to believe the lies of him somehow being THAT horror. Still the classic British dental care treatment, still the mustache, still the overbite but tossed in some traits from Resurrection and the original. (Also, for note, i did just stop at where the clavicle would end, he's built like a dorito in my mind don't worry)

Best part is I can layer is actual skeleton on top and it works!! HAHA!!! anyway, farts away.

Dan's muffled scream in this cutscene always catches me off guard. Truly the most guy of all time.

My favorite screenshots of Sir Daniel Fortesque in MediEvil: Resurrection are the ones where he just feels like Just Some Regular Guy that doesn't even really feel like going on this magical quest through the magical fairytale and fantasy land but has to because some gargoyles and some little man living in his head told him to.

My takes with Medievil - a fucking ramble.

1. Daniel's human form makes no sense. Look, I get it, he's meant to be an unattractive shmooser with weak limbs and cowardly looking but frankly he looks nothing like his skeletal form. His skeleton is arguably tall, horribly wolfy and lanky, with an overbite with massive buck teeth and big eyes with a prominent brow. How the FUCK is he a tiny, small shouldered, little slightly lanky man. With no sign of hands the size of Texas. A lot of things are up to interpretation (hair, eyes, nose and mustache depend on the game/ the novel) but the idea he's not a bumbling lanky and wide shouldered fool with gangly limbs and wide eyes. Yeeaaah no. I'll eventually draw what I think his human form could look like. (Ressurection got close enough to what I think he'd look like)

2. Low-key. Ressurection got bashed too hard. The game sure is a bit rough, it's definitely not a try and true remake by anyone's standards and is a bit clunky in terms of camera and humor - but by GOD did they pull a 00s and make everyone wonderfully expressive. Dan feels like he actually has a weeeee bit of character growth, his expressions are hilarious and it feels like he has some impact with the world. The 2019 remake feels a bit... stiff? Especially in the emotions department. Meanwhile they had a jawless skeleton back in '05 look genuinely confused, scared, pouty and happy. The also gave him full on DIALOGUE. And maybe I'm dumb but I haven't seen his dialogue as developed in other games. Equally his diary is so fruitful with insight on his inner thinking.

3. There should be more content PLLLEEEEAAASSSSEEEEEEEEEE SONY

I learned of Medievil's existence and now low-key its in my top 10. I have no clue why this game isn't more popular or got a modern day sequel like Crash 4 or something (im aware of the 2019 remake but that's a remake in my mind).

I can't make any promises but he's rotating in my head and he's fun to draw. Gangly, lanky, British and cowardly. I may draw more. Sir dan is wonderful. All Hail skeletons.
