Kevin had been talking to Marcus for most of the party, so he couldn't help but shoot a snarky little glare at Jake when he saw him. "Your angel is mine now, Jakey~" (lightandblood)
Jake didn’t want to be at this party, but he was attending to things, making himself useful… yet he couldn’t help that he kept glancing over at Marcus and that damn radio host. So when the male came over Jake practically snarled.
“You think? Poor little Kevin…”

Jake watched as Kevin crumpled to one knee, bringing the can back and trying to smack it into his side, glaring. “I did.” he replied cooly. “You don’t belong here, you have no business with us besides that you probably want money or in his pants.” he spat. “I hate people like you, you all are vile beasts who cannot handle yourselves properly.”
Kevin laughed, a little out of breath from the new smack to his side. “I have no need for money, Jake. I am the Voice of Desert Bluffs- I already have enough money to get by. And sex is only an added bonus if I can get it, but I get plenty from other people that I don’t need it from your precious Marcus.” He grinned.
“Look Free, I really am not opposed to ruining this party by bashing your skull in, so why don’t you tell me why you are doing this then before I get bored and just do it anyways?” Jake replied, scowling down at him, swinging the cane back to hit the male’s side again.

With caolm purpose Jake swung his cane so it would smack into the back of Kevin’s knee, his expression showing annoyance. “I’ll always be more than you are too, Free.” he replied plainly, ignoring the male’s reaction.
Kevin tried to move the moment he realized what Jake was doing, but wasn’t fast enough. His knee collapsed and he ended up kneeling on one knee in front of Jake. “Oh, you’ll always be his favorite.” He said with a wince. “But who’s to say I can’t join in, hm?”

Hero AU; Muse A is the newest superhero on the scene and has already made a large name for them self. Muse B is a villain that wants to take advantage of Muse A so they begin doing anything they can to gain Muse A’s trust.
Alternate Hero AU; Muse A is the newest superhero around and Muse B is a villain famous for how impossible they are to beat. Muse A seems to have an advantage over Muse B somehow though and they are determined to figure out how.
Circus AU; Muse A is a performer in a famous Circus while Muse B is someone who has come to see the show and decided they wanted to stay with the Circus. All goes well until they start to learn of the more questionable things the circus does with its cast and crew.
Garden AU; Muse A’s grandfather/mother left them an old building with a large garden, there they meet Muse B, a dyrad who has lived there for many years. Muse A can either decide to try and befriend the creature or maybe even sell it for money.
Wild AU; Muse A was raised by animals, they know almost nothing of human culture, language, or attitude. Muse B is a researcher who finds Muse A and decides to make a mission out of trying to capture and/or help Muse A

Doll AU; Muse B is a collector of all kinds of things- stamps, toys, marbles- people. Muse A is their long-time favorite doll though. They have been together for so long that Muse A cannot imagine a life without Muse B dictating what they do.
God AU; Muse A is a worshiper of an old God, Muse B. Muse B is rather tired of all the hapless fools who would do anything for them- but after meeting Muse A they decide to give interacting with a follower one more try.
Hooker AU:Muse A is selling themself on the streets to make money- be it for personal gain, school, family, etc. Muse B is driving home from work and sees them shivering on the corner. Muse B takes Muse A home, but Muse A is taking this as a job and is not taking no for an answer.
Pet AU; Muse A is a human-animal hybrid of some sort, and they have been Muse B’s pet all their life, living in a cage and being treated fairly well. But when Muse B takes them out one day they notice that hybrids are free creatures and that keeping them as pets is wrong. Suddenly they have the urge to escape Muse B and live free as well.
Vampire AU; Muse A is a newly awoken vampire, changed by Muse B. New Vampires need to feed or they are hopelessly confused and weak. Muse B can either choose to help their new underling or leave the for dead.

“Alright. Feel free to come inside when you want, just try to dry off a bit.” He pats his hair for a bit, then heads back inside.
Jake felt oddly lonely outside so he pulled out of the dirt and shook off the water and mud, following after him.
“Good.” he coos. “Do you want to stay here or go back inside?”
“Here is nice...” with the wet soils and the sun, yeah, it was nice.
“Okay, that’s quite enough.” He turns off the tap and walks towards Jake, stroking his hair.
He would be able to feel how heavy the others body seemed to be from the water, his hair drenched and sticking to his face. He just cooed happily, his eyes shut.
He crawls out of bed after a while, peeking out through his window into the garden and laughing. That’s adorable. He walks downstairs and outside, raising his eyebrows. “Enjoying yourself?”
Jake is sitting on the ground by this point, completely relaxed. He blinked and sleepily opened an eye, nodding slowly. He was probably over-watering himself, but indulgence never hurt occasionally...
Julian sighs and stays in the room. Jake’ll come back.
After an hour or so the dyrad was still not back, having huffed back downstairs and stuck his feet back into the dirt where he had been yesterday, spraying himself with Julian’s hose. Why should he care about his water bills anyways?
He switches back to his own voice and rolls his eyes. “Fine. Believe whatever you want. Go back, let yourself be used, get lied to.”
Jake backed up slowly, a soft whimper leaving him before he spun and ran from the room, an upset sound leaving him.
