Clark continued to doodle, but when the new girl, whom the teacher didn't even introduce to the class before continuing his lecture about the French Revolution, asked if he could share his book, he nodded, turned around, and handed his book to her with the pages marked by his thumb. "I'm Clark; by the way, it seems our teacher is too busy with his lecture to properly introduce you to the class..." Clark started but was called on by the teacher to ask why the French Revolution was fought in the first place. When Clark answered his question correctly, the teacher nodded, told him to pay attention, and then went back to his lecture, and Clark, in turn, went back to his doodling.
"Thanks" she said with a smile as she looked down to figure out what it was they were even doing. The whole teacher not introducing her was fine by her because the last thing she needed was to call attention to herself, at least in a way that she wasn't prepared to do. "Lois," was all she managed to say before he got called on by the teacher. Amusement colored her features as he answered the question effortlessly and the teacher returned to the lecturing, she tapped on his shoulder again, " Just an fyi I prefer it that way, I have a tendency to just disappear sometimes, so it'll be for the best if no one gets attached" she added, "Mind catching me up on what it is we're doing though?"

Clark was sitting in class trying to not fall asleep; it wasn't that class was boring, maybe it was, but this was easy for him; he made straight A's in all his classes and the fact that he was able to absorb and process information faster than the other students. He was doodling on his notebook when a knock came at the door. The principal walked in with a girl, a new student from the likes of it. The teacher directed her to the desk next to him, and he watched her as she made her way over, but when they locked eyes, Clark went back to doodling on his notebook.
A fresh start her father said, she'd like it. So far all she'd seen was a bunch of farm land and some kids who gave her weird looks. It wasn't that she had anything against farmland, or even small towns. It was just, she was so tired of moving around that she didn't even think she could grow attached to anything or anyone anymore. She'd always be gone within a few months. So she smiled politely as the principal explained the workings of the school and then threw her into her first class. They all stared at her, and she stared back, not even bothering with the awkward wave this time as she moved to the seat the teacher told her was free. As she walked down the aisle, she locked gazes with one student but he quickly looked away and got back to what he was doing. Strange but okay. She settled in the chair behind him, as it was the only one free as the teacher began to talk. "Psst" she realized she had no book, and had no idea what the heck the teacher was talking about, "Mind sharing your book?I don't think they realized I don't have one"

“Great.” Clark went to go dig his wine glasses out of his cabinet, then pulled a bottle out of the fridge. Not the fanciest vintage in the world, but he’d made sure to have something nice around for her. After making a bit of a show of struggling with the cork, he poured two glasses and set them on the table.
“Sit down, sit down! I’ll get everything.” He began scooping food onto two plates. “I’m… trying to get it all perfect.” He’d already decided that, barring the apocalypse, Superman would make no appearances tonight.
Another smile as he went over to dig around for what she assumed would be wine glasses, sure enough seconds later he had pulled them out and set them on the counter. She was pretty certain she’d never been so enthralled watching someone open wine before, but Clark seemed to do everything in a way that was particularly endearing and enjoyable to watch. She stopped for a second to think that she definitely liked him more than she should if watching him struggle with the cork of the wine bottle would be classified as endearing. Then he was telling her to sit, although she did feel bad about just sitting there and not helping him at all. “Are you sure I can’t help with something? As amazing as it is that you’re basically waiting on me hand and foot, I’d feel a bit better if you let me do something at least.”

“Then… you… can… do that,” Clark floundered, unable to find a better, flirtier response. He was never terribly good at hiding how flustered she could get him, just with a smile or a kind word.
Quickly, he bent down to get the chicken out of the oven and set it down beside the veggies. “It just needs a minute to cool. Something to drink? Water, tea, wine…?” He was already headed to the fridge, taking off his oven mitts along the way. (He didn’t need them, of course. But appearances were important.)
“I wasn’t planning on stopping” she replied lightly with a smile as she watched him. His reactions were always so interesting, because she’d always been used to guys just being flirty when they wanted to be. But Clark was always just full of surprises, even if his responses didn’t classify as terribly flirty, they didn’t make her like him any less. If anything, most things he did, made her like him even more, which again was unexpected but not entirely unwelcome. “Wine would be great” she added as she watched him with continued interest.

Earth prime clois and superman and Lois clois are definitely two different types. Tho I wonder if maybe bc they are at different points in life?

Clark didn't know what to do about the information, the fact that someone had tried to clone him? Even if the clone seems to have not had any Kryptonian powers? It was concerning to say the least, even more so since Sam had yet to find who did it. Then there was Eli who the boys seemed convinced had some kind of power, and Natalie saying they should try to get him out of Smallville before he had to face Clark.
He stopped for a second to look at Lois who seemed to be letting him digest what they'd learned from her Dad. “How would I even introduce myself to him? Did his Dad know he was a clone? Does he know his Dad was a clone?” Then he was pacing again. “I can't avoid him forever if he's going to be living in Smallville, especially if he has powers like the boys seem to think.”
They’d managed to having Eli NOT see Clark, but of course that had led to a whole thing as to why on earth the man in the picture had looked like him. But now that they were being told that apparently they had attempted to clone Clark, well that brought on a whole sleuth of problems. And of course her journalistic senses were firing completely on a thousand because she felt like they needed to figure out who’d done this.
Her gaze landed on Clark who also seemed to be having a whole sleuth of things running through his mind. When they’d been dating she would have called this his overthinking face, and sure enough this was definitely his overthinking face. “Okay calm” she said as she reached over to put a hand on his arm as she looked at her father who nodded and excused himself saying he’d be in contact if he found any leads. “First of all, depending on what’s happening, we can always say you just LOOK like his dad, we don’t have to bring any talk of clones into it. After all everyone’s supposed to have a doppleganger out there”
I need to hone out the earth prime clois from s&l clois bc they obviously are different xD like xD
I wonder if e38 clois also lived on the Kent farm and that switched over to earth prime clois
Never forget Lois TAZERED a bad guy. Also I wish we knew how long it took Lois and Clark to date bc at the 1 year anniversary interview, she's already in love with Clark and they've been dating months xD
