Posting about the Mem Am Symbiotesonas made us nostalgic. While we don't have any new Memento Amouri: Midnight Prowler content to post, we do have a good chunk of it saved, and decided to repost it online for ✨ funsies ✨
First things first, years before Mem Am came into exist, Horrance (right) was originally a yandere OC, along with Reylin (left) and Tillian (middle). Because they were OCs and not paras, they really weren;t that well developed. Reylin was a classic yandere, while Tillian, her brother, was a familial yandere. Horrance was a more introverted yandere, who quietly stalks his Darling from a distance and is more limerent than openly obsessive. These traits would carry over when he became a para in Mem Am.
A couple months later, another yandere would be added, though she wouldn't be named until a couple years later after Mem Am was already being written:
She'd become Hartley in Mem Am, and as a yandere, was basically the female version of Horrance. Both were quiet, withdrawn, aloof stalker types who don't make themselves known to their Darlings while Reylin and Tillian were the classic type: being warm, personable and adoring until something or someone triggers their violent, controlling, sadistic side.

While making Mem Am, Donn had a bunch of comfort paracosms to take a break from the dark and heavy content of Mem Am. Reylin and Tillian were featured in the original iteration of the Band AU, as well as the Psycho-Pass AU. Tillian would go on to be featured in Memento Amouri: Until Death (Samson. Anyone remember Samson?) and Reylin is in Memento Amouri: Midnight Prowler as a person in Horrance's childhood.
And that's it for this post! These guys were just some loose concepts in our head that went back on the shelf until Jan. 2021, when a Netflix true crime documentary altered our brain chemistry and Made A Guy about it (via MaDD and DiD, but we wouldn't learn that for four more years).
