She froze then, her already cautious steps coming to a complete halt. In her anxiety to set things right, she had been so absentminded as to overlook the possible of somebody confronting her - or, as the case might very, very well be, somebody confronting her current body’s true owner. No, there wasn’t any way whatsoever that another would be able to tell that it was her inside the body of the rather short albino male; ergo, it must be him they were looking for. Not her. A difficult concept to wrap her head around, certainly - but it was hardly a breeze to comprehend anything that was happening at present.
Wishing not to keep the other waiting for too long, whoever they were, she steeled herself for the conversation that was to follow. Did März know her? Or, perhaps more importantly, did the girl know März? If so, then what, specifically speaking, was their relationship…? Second by second, it seemed, she was becoming more and more disgruntled by her current situation. If she had but one thing to appreciate (which, truth be told, she probably did - no ‘if’s about it), however, it would be that she hadn’t yet begun worrying about where her body was.
This was difficult, though - acting like him. Whether this girl knew him or not, she supposed that didn’t really matter: inevitably, she would encounter acquaintances of her lost childhood friend, and what was she to do then…?
She closed her eyes for a second, breathing out a long breath as she urged herself to focus on the past for a moment in time, to recall all she could about him, how he spoke, how he acted. Under ordinary circumstances, such things came naturally to her memory, but now… Now, it almost pained her to force one of his grins as she wholly turned her attention to the stranger.
“C… Can I help you at all?”
A couple of blinks. Mental backtrack. No, no - she had said exactly what she needed of him. Her. The feigned smile lessened somewhat then as she faltered in her thoughts; she chewed her lower lip gently for a few seconds before beginning again.
“Ah, pardon me…! I hadn’t heard you first of… I mean, um.”
(Was this right, though - falling into his life just like that…?)
“I can lead you there, if you want!”
[All this hair. All of this golden, long, hair just cascading down her back. It tickled at her elbows and caused a great deal of perspiration to accumulate on the nape of her neck. It was just so distracting. Her fingers entwined in a long golden lock, twisting it like a string of spaghetti before clumsily untangling from its yellow grasp. So entranced in her own new head of hair she had barely noticed the stranger had answered her.]
...Huh? Wha-- Oh. Right. Yeah... Yeah!
[The Kaibutsu cleared her throat, still unused to the soft tone of her voice. Her stance broadened with a step forward and she looked towards the other with an expectant expression. Her elbows were bent and her hands in tight fists, displaying her obvious discomfort in this pale and fleshy body. Moving in it was so fluid, it was nearly dizzying.]
Well? What're you waitin' for... Start marchin' so I can get outta this Barbie-Doll body!
[It didn't occur to her at all that other people may be experiencing the same phenomena as her, not even the awkward man right in front of her. To wake up and find that your body is no longer your own, but someone else's. A stranger, in her case. Who was this little girl anyway? They had crossed paths maybe once, but that was it. That's when a thought bubbled up in her brain. If she had her body then... could it be possible.. that...
Oh god.
Taking the initiative she brazenly grasped at the other's hand and pulled hard. Her body, her very own body was in the hands of a ditsy child! Oh, the detrimental possibilities were endless. She grunted with impatience, trying to get this--what she perceived to be as quite wimpy so far-- guy to move, move, move!]
