Uhh, it sure would've made sense for me to save these images as an individual files for Tumblr's sake, but... I didn't. So have a long post then!
I spent quite a while painting myself a Gin (from Ginga Nagareboshi Gin or Hopeanuoli in Finnish) figure for Reasons TM. One of the biggest reasons is just that I wanted to own one, but I don't reeeeally like many of the official ones for varying reasons. Gotta do everything myself in this house! This of course, too, is far from perfect and it would've been cool to make him have a collar, but I was sensible enough to stop at "good enough" before I'd spend so much time with it that I'd ruin it completely.
The base is an old Schleich husky figure.
And finally two cute fullbodies for my last attacks!
All in all doing animations for AF was honestly a bad idea: I had mostly fun myself, but many of the end results simply didn't look good and fixing them would've required more time than I had in my hands... I really hope people don't hate me too much for butchering their characters. ^^'
The month and therefore the fight is getting close to an end, but there's still time for a few doodles!
One happy fellow and one fellow who is very much done with things!
I will always find it so much fun how you get to draw very, very different sort of characters in Art Fight, just like we can see here. =D
It has been really hot in Finland for a week now and it has not been exactly a joy to sit in front of a computer and draw... Good thing inspiring characters help to make it bearable!
Some of the previous animations have been kinda clunky, but I'm pretty satisfied with these two!
More adorable fellows!
A couple revenges of some really neat characters.
Art Fight has started once again! This time I decided to doodle some small animations for it. They aren't going to be anything special, but hopefully seeing their characters move will still make people happy.
Draw your lair challenge
Apparently it's something like "make a terrible comic day" today, so I was inspired by a Discord server to doodle my own shitty comic. Buuut when I got this done everyone there was already talking about other things and I didn't want to be rude and butt in by posting this, so it's you who have to suffer from it then. =')
It's hard when you have chores to do when all you'd want to do is play an aquarium game.
And the conclusion of the quest! After climbing to the treetop and winning Ikkit's game, Poe gets to meet the creature who helped him find the exit point of the maze. Turns out it was a spirit blob Poe met on another quest many years ago.
Finally Poe finds a suspiciously non-burnt tree and sees something moving in its canopy. He starts to climb up it while Ikkit emerges from the shadows and tries to stop him, meaning he must be on the right track!
(I'm writing this while simultaneously watching a small police operation happening on the yard of my apartment complex... The joys of living in the center of the city!)
Poe gets out of the lingering smoke cloud only to find out he has to also cross streams that are filled with sooty, black water. Such fun times!
I actually would've wanted to make Poe fall into the river, but as the story only depicted the Esk succeeding in crossing whatever danger they face, I wasn't sure if that would've been allowed. (And I didn't have enough energy to ask, wait for an answer, and then possibly change what I had already planned.) Oh well, good for Poe at least!
Second part of Poe's magical adventure where he gets thrown into a burnt down forest. I guess that was the worst thing a forest guardian like Ikkit could think of.
The fun part about this was figuring out how to make it resemble one of those cryptid photos where some creepy creature is peeking at you from behind a tree... Except in this case the creepy creature is very much more afraid of you than you are of it!
