☆ Be honest Shiori, what do you really think of your friends?

They’re great! The words stopped before they were formed. What do you really think? Shiori bit her lip. “They’re...nice.” Starting was easy enough. “They’re both really talented and it’s great. They’re friendly and they’re always there for me. They’re so much better than I am.” Stop. “Rin’s art is amazing and I can’t draw at all! Kei’s writing...They’re great.” Shiori wanted to stop there. It’d be great if she could have stopped there. “I like them a lot but it’s hard sometimes. Rin and Kei are just so skilled and I’m just not. It’s tiring to always be the sidekick. They’re friendly and nice and I envy them. I get jealous whenever Kei talks about his works or Rin creates another selling masterpiece. It’s...it’s horrible. They deserve so much better than me. I just, I just want to be like them sometimes, you know? I want to have something. But I can’t. I don’t have anything.”

“Those ants sure as heck are readying for a picnic.”

She hadn’t found her way to the apartments yet, mostly biding her time in a park allowing Pudding to roam freely and exhaust herself. If it hadn’t been for the care package and her suit case full of clothing, she herself probably would have been up and at it as well–but for now, she’s mainly sitting on a picnic bench keeping an eye on her puppy as she starts filling her mouth full of whipped cream.

Do people usually eat such copious amounts of whipped cream in public? Shiori watched, lifting her gaze from the book she had been reading to settle it atop the stranger. There was little to see but yet so much that could keep her attention. The lady had, for some reason, gone to the park with the notion of eating whipped cream. Shiori could see nothing else, no other food to be paired with the cream, and she was confused. She had been under the impression that people generally don’t bring such dairy products to places like parks. They’re quick to spoil and melt. Yet, here was someone going against the grain.  The intensity of her stare was unintentional but present. Truly, she wanted to decipher this person’s code. Why?

4. My muse accidentally sending yours an embarrassing text/letter.

Just a few numbers. She had just been a few numbers off. The phone’s screen illuminated Shiori’s panicked features, her wide eyes and parted lips. She shook her head as if the phone would be able to undo what it-she, Shiori- had just done. There was no use denying it. Shiori swallowed the lump that had formed in her throat. She closed her eyes. She couldn’t deny it. She would either have to change her number or ignore her phone for the next few days. There was little else she could do. Heaven forbid, she talk to the person she had sent the message to. She would rather move!

Putting her phone down on her counter, Shiori resisted the urge to pick it up and text the intended recipient of the message. If the other person replied, the notification would pop up on the thin black bar atop the phone screen and she would be frantic once again. No, she would have to ignore her phone.

The phone vibrated once, the loud hum battling back the silence of the apartment room. Shiori closed her eyes. The message was vivid in her memory; she could hardly forget it after staring stupidly at it for several long minutes after send had been pressed by her stupid, dumb finger.

{Shiisheep} : I have a new co-worker working near me and I’ve been trying to find the proper words to properly articulate ‘Hi, let’s be friends!’ without sounding...like me. I tried to create the perfect scenario and tried to time our lunches together but she already had people to eat with and the table was full. I tried timing our water fountain drinks but I ended up drinking too quickly so she walked away while I was coughing. And then there was that awkward thing when you both meet in the bathroom but you’re washing your hands and it’s just quiet. It’s been a week already. I’m thinking of giving up ;-;. Maybe I can make friends next time. aaaa.

Shiori covered her face with her hands and sighed. Now whoever had that message would truly think she was pitiful. How embarrassing!

Shiori doesn’t think about relationships often, believing that she has a long way off before ever entering anything like that. However, she wants someone she can rely on, someone who can make her feel comfortable. All that matters to her is that they’re comfortable together. Other than that, she doesn’t have anything else in mind.

Rain. She loves rain. She loves the way it patters lightly against her window or pounds heavily on her roof. She loves watching the drops trail down surfaces. She loves how rain makes everything feel like night. Being indoors in the rain is like being wrapped in a blanket and sung to sleep.

¥ = How the character handles money or spends it

She generally handles money well. Shiori has taken to shopping for whatever is strictly on her grocery list. She divides her money into needs, emergencies, and luxuries. Her luxury spending money isn’t as large as the others but it adds up after weeks. When she wants something, she stops eating out and buys only the bare minimum of anything else. Her spending is usually on food, books, and stuffed animals.
