I was reading some more and thought I'd share a different snippet from the same wip of Zaros and the Earis bc I haven't written in months and I love them

"What's with the pomegranate anyway?" You say, trying to get his attention off of your embarrassment.

"I bought it for you."

"For me?"

"Mhm hmm. If I remember correctly, and if your taste hasn't changed much in the last eight years, then your favourite fruit is still pomegranates."

For some odd reason, your heart beats faster at that. It doesn't seem like a big deal, and it really isn't, but it's rare for someone to remember little things about you. Pomegranates aren't exactly your favourite anymore, but he remembered. An insignificant thing you told him ages ago, he remembered and something tells you he's the only one who ever will.

Adaron is so cute omg 😭 that whole conversation between him and the Earis made me all mushy and I wonder if the Earis felt empathy towards him in terms of his siblings because they know what its like (sort of) and when Adaron asked "Are you the strongest for your ma and pa?" I was like NOOOOOOOOO 😭😭😭

I have so many thoughts about this episode it’s not even funny, the way zaros studies the earis and their behaviour, their real thoughts and feelings, he is so helplessly in love, and so is the earis, the part where they held hands was so precious on so many levels, zaros admitting that he DOESNT hate the earis and never can, he is so gone 😭🙏

They are both so gone and they don’t even realise it, and the way they were practically parents in this episode??? I AM DYING THEY WILL BE SUCH GOOD PARENTS IN THE FUTURE OMG😭

Imagine that first zaros x earis kiss

Zaros and the Earis are both naive but in very different ways. Zaros is naive when it come to the Earis. His naiveness comes from having a community where every one is your family and has your back. Zaros' naivety also come from his loyalty. His loyalty for his mother, his loyalty for his family and his loyalty for the Earis. Zaros' loyalty is one I see in myself, where you have full belief that someone close to you would never hurt you. Zaros forgives people who he trusts or has trusted easily. It's a bit harder for Zaros to fully forgive the Earis but he's willingly to. Whenever they fight he's always the one to talk to the Earis (except understandingly in Episode 5). He likes to accuse the Earis of projecting but he is the same. Always speaking about the Earis' naivety and forgetting his own.

The Earis, on the other hand, their naiveness is based on isolation and an environment where everyone is your enemy. I remember Saku confirming that the Earis is gullible but I didn't understand in what way. Now I think I do. The Earis' gulliblity is based on the lack of trust and is rooted in believing everyone will betray them (except their mother). Their gulliblity is why they were so quick to leave their friendship with Zaros 8 years ago. If you always expect people to stab you in the back, you won't be surprised when you bleed. The Earis must have already had suspicions but they were confirmed with the letter they read 8 years. This kinda correlates with my first theory about Queen Roena. If the Earis already expects people (in this case Zaros) to betray them and it's later confirmed by a trusted and reliable source, what more is there to say? The Earis' probably thought to cut Zaros off before he could do anymore damage. Like Saku said they act and react.

(Not a full blown analysis sorry 😔. I'll do one when I get a break from exams)
