a look of despair momentarily flickers within dark hues that cast their gaze downward , tyler never takes well to being scolded after all —– never mind the fact minju is younger than him and addressing him this way . ‘ oh , please , minju ? it’s just … they won’t let me check anything else out until i return something i borrowed last year , but i have no idea where it is and i really need this one for a project i’m working on , ’ he’s referring to the book currently in his hands , one he’s clutching onto like it’s a prized possession of sorts , a lost treasure . ‘ i’d really appreciate your help , ’ brows lift as lips curve into a hopeful smile , a plea in his eyes now . ‘ please ? ’
‧ ♰ * ৲ ․ ⸝ the bewildered look on minju’s face had to look at least a little funny. who did he think he was asking a favor from ? though minju could not help her peaked curiosity — last year ? how in the world did he go that long without paying some obscene amount in fines ? ❝ okay, but, this doesn’t change what i said — if you are blasting music, you better stop. ❞ she then steps into his room and right past him. how was she supposed to find something in his room when she could barely find her own things in her own room ? her eyes search what she can see of his room from where she is standing. ❝ where do you think you last had it ? ❞ she asks before humming and asking a totally different question. ❝ how did you even lose a book for a year anyway ? ❞
“ mostly done, just waiting to sort things out with you guys and your characters, ” haru affirms, a nod in minju’s direction. she seems lost, but it’s not unusual for people who are not fully familiarized with dungeons and dragons to feel overwhelmed. to be strictly technical, the campaign they’re doing is not dungeons and dragons. it’s based on the rpg-format the game is popular for and so all of the rules and some of the classes are loosely based on its editions, but it’s just easy to call it d&d. regardless of knowing what she’s doing or not, haru likes it when his players come to him for ideas about their characters– he prefers this over letting them create a character on their own that will be harder to incorporate into the campaign. “ it’s gonna end by halloween, so it’s not too terribly long. you saw the races and classes i posted in the groupchat, right ? which are you undecided about ? ”
‧ ♰ * ৲ ․ ⸝ minju thinks back to the group chat and briefly remembers what haru had written. truthfully, there were so many races and classes to choose from that minju was just unsure of where to start. was it her having no ideas or too many ? at this rate, she had no clue. she sits up in her chair better to face haru at least slightly, wanting him to know he had her full attention. ❝ what if i made a vampire ? i think that would fit someone like me, ❞ she begins. ❝ but there are so many things you can do with a vampire — is there something specific you might want to see ? ❞ minju was hoping haru would give her an idea because she could definitely spitball off of something he had in mind. plus, what better way to join the campaign than with something the person in charge wanted to see ?
‧ ♰ * ৲ ․ ⸝ one thing minju had a hard time getting used to was living with people she didn’t know. being her first year both in college and at the states, she was still new to having to live with people she not only didn’t know, but could sometimes barely stand. that included tonight, at almost 8 pm, when there was music blaring from somewhere in the hall. it went on for half an hour before minju got tired of it and finally left her room to go and bang on the door of one of the only people she knew in the dorms — jack. she beats on his door maybe a little too hard before saying, ❝ who is blasting their music ? better yet ... is it YOU ? ❞
‧ ♰ * ৲ ․ ⸝ her index finger is effortlessly scrolling. minju really didn’t think that finding ideas for her dungeons and dragons character would be so god damn difficult. beside her is haru, who had nicely agreed to meet her at the library so they could do some digging together. she did not understand it entirely but was excited to try and get into it despite needing all the help haru could give her. she sighs while still scrolling, resting her chin in her free hand. ❝ how did you set up a campaign so easily ? or wait — ❞ she pauses to sit up straight and look at haru. ❝ do you even have a full campaign? i forget ... ugh, i’m so bad at this ... ❞
‧ ♰ * ৲ ․ ⸝ had they not been over this a million times already ? ❝ no tyler, ❞ minju says flatly before turning around in her chair. she was trying to get some serious research done without getting distracted, and the library always proved to be useful in helping her focus. that was until tyler had approached her and they got onto the topic of her side gig ... to which minju only liked talking about in certain situations. being in the library was one of those instances she didn’t like talking about it. ❝ well, ugh, i mean, i guess if i really wanted to i could figure out a way to fuck up the librarian’s book system. but is it really worth it for a library book ? ❞
‧ ♰ * ৲ ․ ⸝ there is an excited look plastered on minju’s face. why ? because she is finally looking at the dates for green day’s hella mega tour. her thumb is scrolling furiously until she finally arrives at the dates they will be in california. there are quite a few and she is not sure which one to look at getting tickets for. her lips purse for a moment before she looks over at daehyun, who she is currently at the apartment of. ❝ dae — ❞ she calls out. ❝ what are you doing next year, july 21st, 24th, or 25th ? ❞

besties → well u kno everyone has a bestie ,, tho minju’s lives all the way in sk, she needs friends here too. maybe your muse can actually stand her and how childish she can be so you two really hit it off. remember that she is a freshman though so maybe they met before school started or have gotten really close in a short amount of time. troublemaker gang → these are people who minju would do the absolute worst with. this could also be in cahoots with the after hours plot further below, but these people are the ones minju goes to when she wants to cause the upmost amount of trouble around campus and off campus. whether it is hitting up the mini mart at 5 am or sneaking into the library at midnight, these are the people she would dm on those nights she is grossly bored and wants to have some fun. after hours → probably someone in the troublemaker gang or someone else. your muse and minju are always getting into something after the school campus is shut down for the night. this will include maybe minor illegal things like vandalizing property, breaking and entering school property, and mayhaps a bit of loitering but it can also include wholesome things like sitting under the stars and going out for a midnight snack at the mcdonalds down the street. who knows, they could do anything. minju is a phat night owl, so, this is her life.
