Now that the Heritage Foundation has successfully banned trans girls from dozens of sports, they're going after cis athletes. This is exactly what trans people have been trying to tell you the whole time. Trans women were actually the group that *most* protected cis women in sports. We knew the far right would only go after cis women if they could successfully ban trans athletes. Now that they have, they will try to overturn Title IX and the promise of women's sports. Title IX increased participation in high school women's sports from 300k to millions and collegiate sports by over 600%.

I saw this going around recently. On one hand, yes, right-wing ideology has prevented the US public from demanding universal healthcare. On the other, this completely overlooks how corporations constantly promote the myth that private healthcare is better, more reliable, or safer. It also blames low/no-income people for adopting ideology that is rooted in corpoate media. It also assumes public opinion has a sway over legislation (empirically speaking, it has very little influence) What do you think? I see this explanation as only one of many rationales, and a problematic one at that.

I was on Freda's podcast a few months ago, and she is an extremely kind and caring woman. She also doesn't have a huge platform. Billionaire JK Rowling and millionaire Helen Joyce (who originally took the photo) love to go after trans people who can't fight back. Rowling posted the upskirt photo while demanding Freda debate her- a vague threat that she will keep harassing her until she complies. The tweet is still up from 9 days ago. How is this activism, feminism, or anything outside of flagrant bullying?

Now that Lindsey Graham is dead, his many victims are speaking out. Actress Jesse James Rose just opened up about being one of them. Despite Lindsey's sexuality being an open secret in DC circles for decades, he ceaselessly harassed and demeaned LGBTQ+ people while in public.

3.5 million pages later… there’s still only one trans person in the Epstein files: trans teen survivor Ava Cordero. The documents show that she settled out of court for $28k. I previously verified this with someone who knows her. All Ava's accusations were true.

Notably, Epstein's lawyer claimed he wasn't gay and thus Ava must have been lying. I often think about how Epstein could have been stopped sooner if society listened to POC, trans people, or girls.

Genital inspections are not feminist. In 1994, trans and queer activists created Camp Trans outside the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival to protest the event's trans-exclusionary "don't ask, don't tell" policy. While the anti-trans policy targeted trans women, trans men and nonbinary people were also removed on a subjective basis. These policies represent an early basis of today's policies treating every woman with suspicion over their genitals.

You wouldn't know it from mainstream media, but cis lesbians are the most supportive group of trans people... even more than trans people ourselves!

Media doesn't present reality: it creates it. The moral panic over trans women in queer spaces is a contrived conflict invented to drive our community apart. But our movements are connected at their core, and we are stronger together.
