Your favorite stories are your favorite stories, because even the bitter moment ends up regarding to some sweet sentiment. If we wrote things as they truly were in the moment, without our beloved yet cursed gifts of exaggeration, would the story still be worth hearing? Would getting dumped beside a dumpster still be a story that you'd mention with no hint of shame 15 years later? In the end the way we tell our story is what makes it worthy of affection. I think words are a bit overrated sometimes. Sometimes it's okay to let things be what they are and nothing more.

I Am Enough

Today I told you that you were independent on your intellect. I told you that you were pig headed to think you could survive alone off of your brain, to believe that how you treat others was small in the grand scheme of things… funny thing is that it was supposed to make me feel better. Update: it doesn’t, but someday I will. Someday my weight won’t be a laughing matter, someday I’ll have someone who cares because I’m a beautiful human being aside from not matching your wits. I have learned how to love myself, and you will not take that away from me again. My God says I'm enough for him... so I don't need to be enough for you.

Open Letter to My Person

Darling you are precious beyond compare. I couldn't tell you enough that you are worth more than a thousand rubies, but you are. Exquisitely made with an intricate plan that you don't yet get, but one golden day you'll look back and say "it is good". Every tear, every smile, every tossed out road map makes you the strong person you shape up to be. You learn not to regret, but to be thankful for the kinks in the road. I've made many mistakes and you've made many misjudgments, but God gave me you to go through it all with. It's a heck of a ride, but one beautiful story. Love Jane
