He has heard something similar before, that in a room full of people, some people can still feel alone.  But he has never once believed that it applies to him.  He is very social and always keeps himself busy in a crowd.

Still, he frowns, and for half a moment, the light fades from his eyes in something resembling genuine sorrow.  “Oh, that’s sad.  You’ve made me sad now.”

A bright grin and almost playful roll of his eyes are soon to follow.  So much for that.  “As long as they love me, I don’t see why it matters.  It’s never been a goal of mine to ‘make friends’ or ‘be liked.’”  He has reached all of his other goals just fine without those things, so he fails to see the necessity of them.

“I know you think it’s your responsibility to save my soul or whatever, but you can spare me.”

    ❛  i can only do and say so much,   it is not my responsibility to save your soul,  it’s to give you a path,  yet you consciously follow the one to darkness,   there is a reason why free will is so prevalent in this world,  onceler ❜   he wont lie,  castiel is sad  --  seeing the flaws in humans and seeing them at their very worst is not an uncommon thing,  however he had yet to meet one as selfish as this,  as callous and cruel .   though castiel has a path to follow too,  it may not be the one that the lord intended and it may be one of his own creation,   and he knows for a fact it does not include begging on the knees before man to change their ways  --  he wants to save the planet,   save a tree that is rapidly becoming extinct,  to protect the innocent ones that have no voices to speak out against injustice .  castiel is not the one to give up,  he wont turn his back on humanity,  he thinks that perhaps accepting the ones that damn themselves is apart of that unconditional love his father once spoke of .  

    ❛  though i will say this :   you are dead a lot longer than you are alive,  you cannot take your riches and robes to the hell you are welcoming with open arms,  a place where everyone is truly an equal,  and when you’re there being tortured for the sins you have committed,  your cries will blend in with the rest,  your earthly possessions that you cling so strongly onto mean nothing  --- for that,  it doesn’t make me sad,  or angry...  it makes me pity you. ❜

“I-- uh,” The chef was at a loss for words, he was busy chopping vegetables for the upcoming dinner rush, when he was suddenly met with an uninvited guest who had snuck into the kitchen somehow. Linguini had dropped his knife in shock, a metallic echo filled the kitchen as it hit the tile floor and, after a breath, a shriek left his lips. The stranger didn’t seem phased by his reaction. Instead, he was puzzled.

“You surprised me.” Linguini tried to lower his voice, but it was a few octaves higher than he would’ve liked. Bending over to pick up the dirty knife, he frowned as he inspected it for dents. “A-and guests shouldn’t be in the kitchen, I’m sure the host can find you a table.”

   ❛  my apologies  ❜   though he doesn’t sound at all sincere,     lips tightening in a thin line as he continues to stare at the chief -  unblinking,  unmoving,  a statue -  castiel fails to see how unnerving it can be for some people and doesn’t grasp the fact that just because he has a human vessel, it doesn’t entirely hide the nature of his own being  -      ❛  i’m not a guest,   i have no desire to be here in the first place  ❜   he doesn’t elaborate further,  instead finding his mind shift to the knife that the one picked up    ❛  picking up a knife is bad luck,  you know,  at least according to you humans -  i still don’t get it,  but perhaps not risk that in future ❜  he’s walking away now,  mostly looking around the kitchen  -  ignoring looks of the others colleagues,  the sights and smells are new to him,  he’s never before been in such a busy kitchen before,  it seemed...  hectic,  for a place that just cooked food.

   fashion isn’t something castiel is interested in,  he knows certain people look good in different items  --  but the effort that goes behind it is something that’s lost upon him,   another subculture of humanity that simply made them different to angels, and clearly it was something else that made humans all the more endearing.    clearly the child knew about it enough to drag on as much as she did regarding how it went with the outfit,  instead of insulting,  or belittling the take  -- eyebrows crease in the center,  a clear show of the angel being confused  ❛  i...  i have no idea what that means,  fashion isn’t exactly a hobby i entertain myself with  ❜    blue eyes focus on the ring,  then right back to the jacket warn --  yep,  still doesn’t get it,  and he thinks it’s best to keep it that way as to not feed into the hope that she can keep the ring of topic   ❛   well i’m sorry,  however i have to have it back .  i cannot have anyone,  never mind a child parading a weapon of heaven around .  that would be dangerous for everyone involved ...  ❜
