The Transfer Experience
15 Minutes Raw Footage
In my fifteen minutes of raw footage I made sure I captured moments of me and my brothers bonding and I interviewed my mother talking about the importance of family. Also, I had my cousin record interactions between me, my parents and my brothers. My long term media project is about the importance of family so I plan on using the clips that I recorded and editing the scenes that I captured into shorter pieces of work. Also, I plan on recording more this incoming week during Thanksgiving because I am visiting family and I planned on interviewing family members of different ages and asking them questions along the lines of why they think family is important. I plan on starting off my short film with a voiceover poem about family and then going into why family is important to me, then the interviews of my family members.

Hughie Lee- Smith - Three Girls Circa 1960
This art piece captured my attention because I was curious about what the painting represented, who the girls were in the painting and how were they contacted to each other. Also, their body language caught my attention. The metaphor of this piece relates to my film because I am talking about womanhood, and my relationship with the women in my family and how it has shaped me throughout the years.
Metaphor: The three girls represent me at different times of my life. (the same person)
Vehicle: What the girls are staring at
Tone: The tone of the piece is somewhat mysterious and dreary. The oil paint colors of the sky and the way the girls are just staring off into the body of water leaves a element of wonder.
