Hoàng Thuỳ Linh is back with another culture-related MV, called Tứ Phủ 四府, or the Four Palaces. The Four Palaces is the most significant form of Đạo Mẫu, a worship of Mother Goddesses in Vietnam.

Its name literally means “four palaces” as its deities are believed to reside in four palaces, each of which serves as a ministry governing one realm of the universe.There are four realms: Heaven, Highlands, Water and Earth. The palaces governing those realms are named as follows:

Thiên phủ (Heaven Palace - 天府), ruled by Mother Goddess of Heaven (Mẫu Thượng Thiên - 母上天), identified by her red dress

Nhạc phủ (Highlands Palace - 岳府), ruled by Mother Goddess of Highlands (Mẫu Thượng Ngàn - 母上岸), also known as Mother Goddess of Forest Residence (Lâm Cung Thánh Mẫu - 林宮聖母), identified by her green dress

Thoải phủ (Water Palace - 水府) ruled by Mother Goddess of Water (Mẫu Thoải - 母水), also known as Mother Goddess of Water Residence (Thuỷ Cung Thánh Mẫu - 水宮聖母), identified by her white dress

Địa phủ (Earth Palace - 地府) ruled by Mother Goddess of Earth (Mẫu Địa - 母地), also known as Mother Goddess of Earth Residence (Lục Cung Thánh Mẫu - 陸宮聖母), identified by her yellow dress

Trương Uyển Thận, third-rank Thuỵ Imperial Concubine (三階瑞嬪張婉慎), was a concubine within the harem of Nguyễn dynasty Thiệu Trị Emperor, and the birth mother of Emperor Hiệp Hoà.

Here she wore a pink áo nhật bình, the standard daily attire (便服) of an imperial concubine of early Nguyễn dynasty.
