I never thought becoming a journal junkie would totally change the way I look at papers. My husband used to hoard all sorts of junk papers like receipts and envelopes,and I kept throwing them away without thinking twice. But nowww? I can’t unsee the potential. anywhere I see even the slightest hint of color, print, or pattern on a paper, my brain is immediately convinced tht it could be used in my journal. And by paper, I mean any sort of paper..whether it’s the envelope our mail comes in, free magazines from stores, or random freebies with patterns or letters on them. They all make their way home with me..

i think i’m turning into a trash goblin and I love it soooo much.

as an adult, at least once a month, i like to take random scraps and pieces rotting in my drawer, paste them inside my journal, feel good about myself and pretend it’s art💅

went on a walk this morning and witnessed a group of dogs casually leading a van like they had somewhere important to be..and the driver?just a humble follower🥰

The post of one of my favorite ear studs came off, and I wasn’t ready to let it go, so I upcycled it into a new pair of earrings.(also i m just a beginner so please overlook any little mistakes ;))

I think one of the most rewarding thing about being a DIY individual is the process of discovering new hobbies. You know how sometimes when you’re scrolling mindlessly, you come across someone making the most incredible stuff from just random things lying around the house? That feeling of, “Oh, was I stupid for buying it when I could just DIY it at home?” When I was a kid, my YouTube was filled with DIY videos, I literally used to think about DIYing a whole bean bag at home (that was a disaster). But you know, the excitement of knowing the possibilities of reusing old stuff to make different decor pieces is unmatched. How did I not see the potential in an old jar to be an aesthetically pleasing pot or in my old jeans to be made into a notebook cover? or in worn-out t-shirts to be turned into a tote bag, or even in a used box to be transformed into a canvas? The possibilities are infinite!
