The Mental side...
Hobo Nation!
I know I know I’ve been a naughty Hobo and haven’t blogged for a few days...That’s what THIS blog is all about: The Mentality
....but first, COFFEE!
...... 5 minutes later....
::sips espresso:: and yes Hobo Nation, it is pronounced and spelled: espresso. There’s no X in that word no matter how hipster it may be to enunciate, it still doesn’t exist.
I’ve been arguing with myself...in my head. Working out has opened another aspect of my internal monologue: The Tug of War. You know what it is, and I know what it is...the alarm rings and it’s 8 am or earlier and you gotta get up and start getting ready for the grind. Not just the gym grind, but that life grind. The gym is just an added stip along that road of non-stop go, go, go culture that we have all convinced ourselves is the heart of productivity. But is it?
Yesterday was Thursday, FEB 15, 2018. a solid 24 hours after my B-Day and I was rather.... reflective. I was man-scaping, and looking in the mirror (how else can you man-scape) when I noticed the physical changes in my body from being a newbie gym rat. I’m proud of the commitment I’ve made to myself but....there’s another side to this that I don’t want to confess to myself, but yesterday’s all day sulk-a-thon and mirror related motivational mental pic made me feel that I had to reflect and think long and hard on what I am doing.
I’m trapped Hobo Nation, between the person I was, and the person I want to be.
The gym, was the catalyst, well in truth my quitting smoking was the catalyst..what’s that old adage? “It takes one change, one committed change to affect every aspect of your life.” Yeah, true to the last syllable, but what isn’t included in that statement is this: You become obsessed with that change.
It of course is subjective. Even as I write this my mind is running w/ knives toward what I am going to do today to improve my life. Like it’s a one and done kind of answer....it is and it isn’t.
I’m trapped in a cycle of needing money, working 2 jobs and managing a career to make that happen. I was content with this...until I quit smoking 6 1/2 months ago, and started to focus on improving not just my physical health but my mental health as well....not that I’m a sad or a depressed hobo, it’s the contrary! I’m quite motivated...that’s the problem. I’m motivated, but I don’t know what to do.
....and nothing stifles motivation like a lack of direction. Here’s the quagmire: I need to invest some more time and money into my career, but I don’t have the time to invest because I don’t have the money to take the time...LOL it’s a fucking QUAGMIRE! I know I know, make a sacrifice. I am #3, sacrifice is in my nature but I don’t now what to sacrifice in order to bring me closer to that goal...
Well, that’s only partially true. My trainer said something the other day: “progress is just outside your comfort zone.” TRUE ... That’s how I’ve been able to lift heavier and heavier every time I go to the gym...I say that over and over in my head and I believe it....or I want to believe it.
...and that brings us back to the mirror man-scaping moment: I need to make this change and step outside my comfort zone and make it happen....but I’m afraid...and that’s the truth I learned while typing this blog and re-reading it... I am afraid of something and I don’t know what....failure? success? rejection? I don’t know Hobo Nation, but I know this: A change is coming, like a hurricane you can’t hold it back. Because that one change I made to improve my life has now spread to other aspects of my life and I am no longer content with mediocrity.... and I don’t wanna work 2 jobs anymore. I guess I’m just gonna have to step outside my comfort zone and give it a try. I’m definitely scared....but.....I am compelled to try now. Thanks TUMBLR.
The Pre-Post Yum Yum Tip
Hobo Nation!
Thought I’d share some information from My Fitness Pal that helped me w/ m,y energy malfunctions... Since I am a rookie weight trainer, I’ve made some....questionable munch-fest choices.
Here’s an article to fill that questioning cranium with some needed 411: (ARTICLE LINKAGE)
ARM Day... and a friends death
Hobo Nation.
Yes it was the GLORIOUS day of ARMS! Brainship is in full swing!
...and swing it did!
The Workout
Inclined DB Curls - Started at 15 lbs not 12.5 today! The 12.5′s were too light! I pumped up my max DB weight to 20 lbs each on Inclined DB sets 2 & 3! I got to 4, paused at the bottom for maybe 20 seconds and continued to the 7th rep. - Drop Set to 15 lbs @ 12 reps.
Concentration Curls - again here I struggle usually but....there was something on my mind. 15 lbs again! Sets 1-2 were 8 reps each then I upped the weight again to 20 lbs per DB and ... here is where it happened.
The Story: about 2 years ago, some one I love killed themselves. He was not just my friend but he was a love of mine... A beautiful individual who could at a moments notice, pop out the wittiest slam dunk verbal onslaught you’d never recover from all while buying you a beer and shooting pool..That was Jeff. Cool and hard working... I didn’t get the news via phone call or text; I got the news through FACEBOOK. I was hysterical and as my Husband puts it: inconsolable. It’s true when you are looking for a reason to go on with something, a motivation, the mind does wander further than we’d like it to; and in the middle of that 4th Concentration Curl I had to choke back the sobs in my throat, and blink my tears into non-existence. I paused to collect my self...and I pushed through my curls w/ that heavy weight because it weighed less than my heart...I pushed through with a sadness my heart and I wanted to hurt. Because truthfully: I am still very mad about this. How selfish.
Concentration Curls cont... - I did 2 sets of 6 reps w/ the 20 lb DB’s and all the while I wanted to cry because I miss my friend..
I wiped my face and walked over to BB rack and reached for the 20, changed my mind mid-reach and grabbed the 30 instead.
Standing BB Curls - Here is where my emotions took over and I pumped and held that BB every rep until I felt my bicep nearly explode. Sets 1-2 @ 30 lbs for about 10-12 reps. Set 3, I went for the 40. Tried once, failed. Today though,I wouldn’t be comfortable. I would push because I want more. For me...... Set 3 @ 40 lbs 4 reps, then a pause, then 3 more. Set 4 @ 40 lbs 6 reps. My veins were popping in both my arms... I felt like a fucking HULK!!!
Standing Rope Curls - I made it over to this machine and I set myself w/ the rope pulley, my tunes are jamming and I am feeling pumped, motivated....and pissed off. Set 1 - 12 reps @ 15lbs, Set 2 - 12 reps @ 20 lbs ..... Here I get a bit more composed. I reign in my feelings of anger and hurt. I think: You didn’t know what was happening, you can’t be angry because you don’t understand HIS truth. I did get choked up a bit here and I closed my eyes until those tears melded with my sweat and I went to 25 lbs and put the pain on my arms and away from my heart.
CARDIO - I get on the treadmill, set the incline to its hiughest setting, but the speed at 5 MPH and set a timer for 1 minute. High intense cardio for 60 seconds, then 30 second rest, then 60 seconds again then a 30 second rest.. I do this for 5 minutes..and the Jeff’s face is all around me smiling and telling me to keep pushing. Thats what I imagined as I ran hard on the inclined treadmill of doom. A small grin appeared in the mirror but....there was more to it than a smirk...I don’t understand why, but I feel lessened...I think that’s the word. Yes, lessened....I didn’t know this, but I am still mad.
But I also learned something true and funny and this statement is the best I can use to describe it: .. sometimes Hoboz, life gives you melons, but you still have to make lemonade.
Have a little Chest, in me.
Hobo Nation!!
It’s that day which I don’t dread, but I don’t look forward to either.. CHEST DAY.
I know I know, I’m a guy I need a big chest blah blah....It’s simply this Hoboz: I don’t like doing anything but Low Cable Chest Fly’s.
NO not even the BENCH PRESS.
WHY? Too hard? - NO you furry butt munch it isn’t too hard! I mean it is, but what’s the point of working out if it isn’t hard? There in lies the problem: I never feel my chest pumping no matter the exercise...the exception is of course: Low Cable Chest Fly’s. They hurt. I sweat. I push. I sweat. I push more. I sweat more. This is the only exercise on chest day that I feel the next day. I’ve brought this to my trainer: The Nameless Shinobi, on several occasions.
It’s my lack of Brainship. My mind muscle connection is still not there completely. DAMN IT.
It is frustrating that this late in the game of life I still don’t have a strong Brainship with my muscles... Well it’s a downside of being skinny-fat for 30 something years; not to mention a smoker for most of those years.
It’s my off day today (Wednesday) and I’m thinking about tomorrows training session. I want to get bigger. I know I know. Time, work ethic, eating good nutriocious food...but most of all I am nearly 39! I don’t feel it. I feel 25. HAHA! Well I suppose that’s it isn’t it? The worst thing about getting old is remembering when you were young. Tomorrow, I’m gonna crush it.. I’m gonna show my brain that either it cooperates, or it gets it’s ass-nerve kicked. Ya Dig?
Shoulder Day, ABS and the Come Back
Hobo Nation!!!
Welcome back to this creation of my motivation...

I’m shortening this section - all reps are to failure

Seated Over-Head DB Press - Set 1 - 2 @ 10 lbs, Set 2-3 12.5 lbs, DROP-SET @ 10 lbs.
Standing Shoulder Cable Fly’s - All sets 1- 3 are @ 5 lbs w/ PERFECT Form. Thanks to The Nameless Shonobi for this one....why do I pay you to torture me?

Machine Press - Set 1-2 @ 10 lbs, Set 3 @ 15 lbs, NO DROP-SET.

Chest Day ain’t Havin’it
Hobo Nation!
Today marks the 4 consecutive day I’ve opted for a Pre-Workout Meal.
WHAT A DIFFERENCE
Seriously Hoboz, as a rookie weightlifter I’ve read so much crap on line from bro-scientists that my trainer has begun punishing me for every sentence I start with: “I saw this trainer on youtube..” seriously, hire a trainer for 1 week and all those videos are obsolete.
I may in the next few days incorporate a Pre-Work out drink. Any suggestions on which is the best one for some one who is Weight-Gaining? Please comment!
The Work out
Warm-ups for about 3 - minutes, then the agony.
Mid Cable Cross Fly’s
Set 1 - 15 reps @ 7.5 lbs
Set 2 - 10 reps @ 12.5 lbs

Set 2 - 12 reps @ 35 lbs
Set 3 - 5 reps, then a short pause, then 4 more reps @ 40 lbs!! - HOORAY!
I started 4 weeks ago and I could barely press the bar w/o any weights! I’m gettin’stronger Hobo Nation!! Also: I noticed that I can bounce my pecs up and down a little bit and it’s noticeable through my shirt!!! HAHAHAHAHAH! #BattleOfTheBouncingPecs (thanks Lex)
Drop Set - 12 reps @ 30 lbs (not a true drop set, but I didn’t want to go lower)
After these three exercises, I noticed my left arm shaking a lot and I wasn’t able to do Pectoral Fly’s on the machine or stabilize my DB’s enough to effectively work out my chest. We decided to do one, ARM exercise and a bit of CARDIO and call it a day; my trainer and I agreed not to aggravate the injury.
ARM SET - BB Curls
Set 1 - 12 reps @ 30 lbs
Set 2 - 8 reps @ 40 lbs!!! (hahaha told ya hobo nation, I feel the POWER!)
Set 3 - 5 reps @ 40 lbs

KEEP IT MOVIN’!
Shoulder Day / Taco Day!

Set 2 - 12 reps @ 10 lbs
Set 3 - 8 reps @ 12.5 lbs
Drop Set - 12 reps @ 10 lbs

We may stop doing these as (i don’t want to stop my trainer wants me to) as my arms are very long and when I lift to the bottom of my chin, my wrist and thumb tend to become sore and fail before my muscle. ::sad hobo::

Home-made Tacos are THE BEST!!!
I had 4...... #Macros LOL
Tomorrow is Chest DAY!!!! .....wait why am I celebrating?
ARM Day is RUMBLE Day
Hobo Nation!
Twas the day that was arm day and all through the gym, not a dumb bell was missing, not even the twins!
The twins are my nick name for the 2.5 lbs.
WHY “The Twins Hobo?” - Glad you asked!
Well it was the first day I every shimmied into the Gym..... ::swooshing noise::
I very distinctly remember I was walking around getting the lay of the land, when I saw a rather bulky woman (not fat, I mean ripped) walk over to the DB rack and grab both 2.5 lb DB’s (AKA the Twins) and mash them into one her man-sized, female hands and start pretending to be a boxer all while laughing...it was, in a word: weird.) In three words, it was: “weird as fuck”
So, the gym is empty except for that one lady running up that stair climbing machine, and you’d be proud of your Hobo, Hobo Nation! I Smashed it

OOOHHHHHHH YYYEEEAAHHHHHH we can have pancakes!!!!!

Calories: 520, FAT 14g, CARBS 72g, RPOTEIN 29g
Tomorrow is Shoulders....and maybe more pancakes....
Chest Day is Chess Day
Hobo Nation!!!
Today was a bit of a lack-luster performance at the Gym...Sick? Maybe......I didn’t eat enough Pre-Workout as I have been, and I crashed half way through my deficit filled slog through my chest on chest pump/non-pump session...
This reinforces the need to have a good (not huge) pre-work out meal.
When I first started a few weeks ago on this journey I would jug water and some Creatine and go for it. W R O N G! We can’t go on a road trip across #MERICA on an empty tank! Neither can this Hobo pump up the fitness on an empty belly
Pre-Game is the key to Gains!
The Work Out
Close Grip Bench Press
Set 1 -12 reps @ 30 lbs
Set 2 - 12 reps @ 40 lbs (getting stronger)
Set 3 - 10 reps @ 50 lbs (climbing the ladder)
DumbBell Pull Overs
Set 1 - 12 reps @ 15 lbs
Set 2 - 12 reps @ 15 lbs
Set 3 - 10 reps @ 20 lbs
Set 4 - 8 reps @ 25 lbs (try these, I promise you will hate yourself)
Mid Cable Cross-Overs
Let me start this by saying: Who ever you are that invented this painful, ego smashing man-boob sculpting exercise I will find you, and I will make you pay with your body weight in Krispy Kreme donuts for dreaming this exercise into existence.
I did a drop set of these to get use to these as I’ve never done these....and know I know why.. #P*ssyHobo
Set 1 - 15 reps @ 15 lbs
Set 2 - 8 reps @ 7.5 lbs (each arm, not total; all number’s are each arm)
Set 3 - 7 reps @ 15 lbs (failure and an ouchie on my man boobie)
Pectoral Fly’s
NEED SOME ADVICE HERE - I do this exercise and never feel it in my chest. I feel it more in my arms. My arms tend to fail here not my chest. This is the machine and my form is exact. I squeeze my chest together at the end of each rep but as I stated before: my arms fail first. Any advice? Should I drop the weight?
Set 1 - 12 reps @ 25 lbs
Set 2 - 10 reps @ 25 lbs (arm failure)
Set 3 - 7 or 8 reps @ 30 lbs (arm failure)
After the work out, I was a bit weak while driving home and when I got home all I could think about was MEAT MEAT MEAT MEAT MEAT.
So I did this:
This made me the HAPPIEST Hobo in Sunburn City!!
Pre-Game for GAINS, Post-Game for GAINS!! Everything for GAINS!!!!!!!
Friday will be my rest day for this week and then back to the Lab again for some more genetic splicing muscle building builders school.
Shoulders, boulders and a twinkie
Shoulder DAY!!!!
Well Hobo Nation, this is my 2nd shoulder day EVER!
I seem to have to repeatedly remind myself that I’ve been at this for only 3 1/2 weeks. I feel like years have flown by but it’s all in my pretty lil’head ain’t it hobos?
A life changing experience it is to commit to working out... ::drifts off into reverie::
HOLY SHIT the blog!
.....and we are back w/ Shoulders!!! ::don’t judge me hobo::
The Workout
I feel the need to begin prefacing these with: 3-5 minute warm-ups with VERY VERY light weights and some light stretching.
Standing Overhead DB Press
Set 1 - 12 reps @ 10 lbs (I couldn’t do 15 lbs!)
Set 2 - 10 reps @ 10 lbs
Set 3 - 6 reps @ 12.5 lbs
So at this point in the failure that is shoulder day, I realize how completely underdeveloped my Deltoids are. I’m pretty surprised. I’m also pretty fucking motivated to change that.
Seated DB Side Lateral Raises
Set 1 - 10 reps @ 10 lbs (I could BARELY do this)
Set 2 - 10 reps @ 10 lbs
Set 3 - 4 reps @12.5 lbs (this felt like utter weakness sweating down my spine)
Standing Overhead BB Lift
Set 1 - 12 reps @ 20 lbs
Set 2 - 11 reps @ 30 lbs
Set 3 - 12 reps @ 30 lbs
Set 4 - 6 reps @ 40 lbs (really pumped it with a pause after 3)
Standing Back Press
Set 1 - 12 reps @ 20 lbs (ouchie to the 9th degree)
Set 2 - 10 reps @ 30 lbs
Set 3 - 10 reps @ 30 lbs - No Hobo Nation, I didn’t go for the 40. I wanted to, by my trainer insisted to no push too hard. It takes time. That is 2nd lesson from my session today.
Standing Front BB Raises
Set 1 - 12 reps @ 20 lbs
Set 2 - 10 reps @ 30 lbs
Set 3 - 8 reps @ 40 lbs
The reality is, my goal isn’t going to happen in week three. I won’t pump up the jams on monday and friday be competing in Mr. Olympia. I took a bit of stock at the gym. I recognize 70% of these folks. They are here the days I’m here; all six. There are some strangers. Strangers meaning new faces, there’s a kid close to me in an orange long sleeve shirt. He’s handsome, thin, you see why’e there: to break that stigma of boyhood that looms on the edge of his boyish face. It’s his arm day and I can’t stop glancing at him. Yes he’s cute but that’s not why. He’s doing tricep kick backs.....well, I think HE believed they were tricep kickbacks. I’m no expert, but I learned in exactly 2.9 seconds how to do a kick back correctly because my Asian Master Trainer, The Nameless Shinobi, as I call him called out my :saddening form” immediately. I swear he is the Pai Mei of the fitness world. He is in a phrase: a dick.
I mean that kindly. It is simply who he is. AND IT ROCKS. He says: “Rook. Dat fucking kid. What fuck is doing?” no not, kidding, not exaggerating. He struts his V-shaped solid muscle 5′3″ booty and “corrects” the kid to what I observe as utter shock and embarrassment as my trainer asks him quite l audibly: “are you jerking off Big Bird?” WHAT WAS THAT? He didn’t. But yes! He Did
....I’m FUCKING DYING. The kids eyes widen and he says excuse me? It’s cute and disarming and my trainers shoulders relax a bit and I slyly walk up behind him and introduce myself and my trainer. The kid seems thankful and a little embarrassed and The Nameless Shinobi graciously/ungraciously depending on how jagged of a little pill you can swallow, teaches “The Kid” the way he taught me.
Form 100% - Grace 0
Arm Day & the Creatine incident
Hobo Nation!
Well this story takes place in the parking lot (thankfully) and you’ll understand why in a few sentences.
Here’s why: I ate too fast in the morning, then I chugged a creatine shake, then I went and SMASHED IT at the gym....then I made an instagram video...and then I puked.... fruit punch style.
No sticky icky descriptions, but lets leave it at I’m buying a new creatine flavor because I can never look at this fruit punch flavored shoe destroyer the same whey ever again. (hahah, whey, get it?....... ::sigh::)
Now on to the important stuff!
The Workout
Standing Bicep Rope Curls
Set 1 - 15 reps @ 30 lbs (felt easy)
Set 2 - 12 reps @ 40 lbs
Set 3 - 8 reps @ 50 lbs (this is a big milestone for my scrawny ass)
Standing Tricep Rope Extensions
Set 1 - 12 reps @ 40 lbs (fuck yes I did it)
Set 2 - 12 reps @ 50 lbs (the burn, the pain the DO IT!!!)
Set 3 - 8 reps @ 60 lbs (woo-hoo I’m getting stronger)
Seated Bicep Concentration Curls
This one is a stunner for me. I started at 10 lbs 2 weeks ago and could barely do 10. This week is my 4th ARM DAY and .... well read for your self.
Set 1 - 12 reps @ 12.5 lbs
Set 2 - 12 reps @ 15 lbs (that right there is worth it)
Set 3 - 8 reps @ 17.5 lbs!!!! (it was tough. I mean TOUGH. I took a pause after the 4th rep then continued)
Standing Double ARM Tricep DB Kick-Backs
Set 1 - 12 reps @12.5 lbs
Set 2 - 10 reps @ 15 lbs (holy god I was dying here)
Set 3 - 6 reps @ 17.5 lbs (I had to push myself to see if I could) I did.
Standing Bicep BB Curl
I stood there staring at the BB rack and debating it in my head: 20 lb or try the 30 lb then go to 40. I was straight up afraid to grab the 30. Why? I’m writing this at my desk and I am still wondering why? Fear? at a BB rack? I grabbed the twenty...then I put it back and gulped and grabbed the 30. Here’s what happened:
Set 1 - 12 reps @ 30 lbs (I was so shocked that I didn’t want to put the BB back)
Set 2 -10 reps @ 30 lbs ( I struggled here a bit but I smashed it)
Set 3 - 6 reps @ 40 lbs (OMG OMG I was smiling and sweating, and struggling but I refused to put it back)
Set 4 - 4 reps then a 30 second break then 3 more reps @ 40 lbs
I was stunned that I did that....It’s incredible what is happening to my body right now. I feel so ALIVE!!!!! I’m sore of course but, to be able literally grab your Bar-Bell shaped goal and pump it, feeds my soul and my muscles!
Single Arm Tricep DB Kick-Backs w/ Bench

Ok before I get into this one I’ll confess that I’ve never done weighted lunges; they fuckin’hurt. LOL - I’m training for gains, so to maximize my stability and focus less on my form, and more on my brainship, we decided that using DB’s and not a BB would be more productive..

Today the burn is realer than ever and I’m pumped and linguine legged. Maybe some pasta as a treat?
MMMM pasta.......
::drifts into reverie::
I found this in one of the workout apps that I use. How true is this chart?
Chest Day - Pumped!
Have you ever wanted to put on a T-shirt, but looked in the mirror and thought: :I look like lumpy sticks wearing a star wars shirt.” I thought that a few weeks ago when I broke my normal gear choices and opted for a T-Shirt and shorts. We aren’t going beyond the following brief description on what the mirror said about my legs...er...I mean candle sticks. -end description.. Side note inner monologue: I am the palest hobo in Sunburn City. I’m so fuckin’white I could I could refract darkness.
That was the thought I found jingling around in my brain-head today as I rolled up to the gym on this some what melancholy Saturday morning.
“I need to put some chest on my.......chest.” #Brainship!!!!
The Chest brainship feel stronger than any other brainship I’ve formed over the past few weeks of weightlifting, which makes this my official favorite gym day. This is the day I work out my weekly stresses. No, work out is not the word....I meant to say: skull fuck my stress into a heaping pile of zero fucks given.
Today Hobo Nation, the burn was R E A L! ! !
I rocked out to this little cover: “Go your own way” covered by The Cranberries. (the sadness is real) and it pumped me up like an inflatable mattress.

CARDIO - Cycling medium intensity for 5 minutes.
I’m going to be adding CARDIO or ABS at the end of my weightlifting routines and I’ll be switching my training up (thank you to my Asian trainer: The Nameless Shinobi) as I call him, and I’ll be training ONE muscle group a day with the exception of arms.
I ended my chest sessions without my 4th exercise because I was tight on time. I’ll squeeze it in on Sunday, leg day (or as we call it in sunburn city, hell day).
Keep it Movin’ Hobo Nation!
Arm Day, Brainship & a German Trannie
Morning Hobo Nation!
Arms! ARMS!! A R M S ! ! !
Getting pumped up in the car by screaming the afore mentioned phrase in the parking lot of my Gym. A ritual recently inaugurated into my growingly necessary weightlifting sessions.
Arms! ARMS!! A R M S ! ! !
On my last arm day I felt a little..... puny? Yes puny. No burn that day (3 days ago) NOTHING! Something’s up....somethingain’t jiving here hobo! I’m a noob; of course I was doing something wrong! At least that’s what my inner monologue was telling me..like it would know.
Brainship
What is “Brainship” you ask? Well, it’s my word that I made up in my brain so here is the ascribed meaning for my hypothetical word: brainship: when your brain and your muscle know each other, love each other and talk to each other. That is brainship.
I have no brainship; well, “had” no brainship. Something changed, and it was me.
Today when I grabbed my DB’s and snagged the last semi-moist bench I looked down at my puny biceps and said: Today, you heathen bicep we will burn.
Today Hobo Nation, I felt the burn, and not in my pee-hole.

Yeah that was my 40-45 minuted weight-lifting routine. We all gotta start some where, and here is that place.
In other news: I was concentrating on my.......... concentration curls and I hear a bit of creole going 700 miles per hour. I glance in the mirror (why look at them directly when you can mirror fuck them) and I see 3 young gents whispering and giggling like school girls. I follow the gaze of (what I mentally dub) The Creole Connection (through the looking glass aka mirror) to see at what these 3 homo-sapiens are giggling at and I, without a doubt in my mind, see exactly what they are giggling about: the worst trannie I’ve ever seen.
It was a shredded 55-60 year old man-person donning a red wig and dangling sunflower shaped earrings wearing very tight sweat pants and a tight fitted soccer shirt that read: GERMANY. This is gonna be great.
I mentally I refer to this individual as Mrs. Germany and while looking down and continuing my curls, I giggle inaudibly to myself. Yes I am a bad person.
ENTER: THE CREOLE CONNECTION
Our 3 antagonist come over to the DB rack and grab some 25′s, 30′s and 35′s and go over and start their version of what I think was shoulder day. They each did a round of standing over head presses about 10-12 I think..my creole is rusty. #PunCity
ENTER: MRS.GERMANY
Well, this is where the reality of why you never mess with a trannie comes into play: this bitch walks over the the DB rack and grabs 50′s! Yeah, this seemingly skinny but shredded Man-Woman train wreck grabbed 2, 50 lb dumbbells and CRANKED out at least 15-20 reps of standing overhead DB presses. HOLY SHIT.
But wait Hobo Nation! There’s more: So I am here in the center of this, sandwhiched between awe and utter amusment. I walk over to the BB rack and grab my 30 and walk over to my spot and start cranking out reps. The Creole Connection starts rambling on like a drunken Mick Jagger and they all walk over to the DB rack where the Mrs. Germany was pumping up at and they seemingly are debating and pointing at the various wieghts and what not. I’m over here, slowing down because I know what they are saying. I’ve been working ina restaurant for 20 years. I’ve picked up some creole, and I know they said: weights, you and faggot. This is gonna be great, and it was.
The Creole Connection grabs the following: 2, 50 lb DB’s and 2 55 lb DB’s. Seeing this equation come together on this chalkboard of bad decisions I pause my inclined curls and pretend to be taking a break while sitting on the bench glancing at the mirror in their direction.
The smallest guy goes first: he grabs the 2, 50 lb DB and attempts a standing over head press. It was too funny to mangle with words but I swear that man shit himself half way up that first press of failure. He couldn’t get it past his ear lobes.
The 2nd guy flat out says no way and they call him a pussy. (in creole)
The biggest guy of the 3, I mean seriously this guy looked like he could easily squash at least 5-8 reps of the 50′s but he decides that he can read my mind and glances around the gym and grabs the 55′s. I think: Go for it. He did. He squeezed one press out and I seriously believed that he was going to explode as he pressed those DB’s tight over his V shaped fluffiness and DROPPED them to the floor with a lunk that froze the whole gym.
They looked at each other in shock. They couldn’t do it. 20? Try 1. barely one to that trannies 20. They walked outta the gym without returning their equipment to it’s place. A few moments went by and I was cleaning up my bench and getting ready to leave when Mrs. Germany walks over to where The Creole Connection was and she looks around at the wide array of DB’s on the ground. She says nothing, and simply starts putting all of them away. She leaves the 55′s for last and stares at them. She looked up and around as if searching. I think she knew why there were so many weights there, and I think she knew who left the there. I swear she smiled a sly one and grabbed those 55′s and cranked out another 20 reps before returning them to there DB home, looking in the mirror and winking to herself.
Moral of the story: Don’t judge a trannie by her wig choice.
