Went to the Chinese Lantern Festival at Franklin Square Park in Philadelphia today, and then to lunch at a Japanese restaurant in Chinatown.
Seen in a Philly antique store.....so many dragon on this whatever it is piece of furniture.
A visit to the Philly museum of Art.....and a few random magical creatures I saw......there are griffins on the roof corners (it's part of their logo too) a weird hanging piece in one of the period rooms (mans body to waist, then fish? Tail ending in fins that are moose antlers). And finally a golden griffin on a beautiful cabinet.
Painted a wooden egg for Easter....is it a purrmaid or a merkitty?
Making glass fairy chairs.....be whimsical!
More borosilicate glass flowers.....I even made an orchid.
More glass flowers....I love borosilicate glass
My first large ( borosilicate) glass flower! I'll be making more, the next step will be working on more curving and shapely petals.
Here's pictures of our favorite decorated house, and they even won their episode of the Christmas Light Fight show, the house is a bit different than it was on the show due to a big wind storm a few days ago, but still wonderful.
What I made in November for ornaments in my glass flame working class.... starbursts or maybe icicle bursts is a better name for the first photo's ornament .
One last window display from NYC, Macy's and Lego. I love the dragon!
When we went to Wanamaker's to see the light show, only the center court area was open. The way from the door to the center court area was lined with the wonderful old griffins holding a garland. I was very happy to see the griffins still in use, they to me are a part of Wanamaker's history as much as the light show.
Coolest display I saw in NYC was in the "Coach" store....a dinosaur made of Coach bags from head to toe.
First snow of the season, wet and heavy but so beautiful on the trees.
Two more wonderful windows from our trip to NYC.
Gingerbread magic...I forgot where I saw this.....but mine never looks this nice.
