Triwizard Tournament, First Task

Dumbledore: “And the champion from the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic is…”

Dumbledore: “… FLEUR DELACOUR!!”

A few days later Fleur overhears some students talking about her in the Great Hall. “She doesn’t stand a chance against Krum and the other boys” “Wanna bet how long she lasts before she starts to cry? I don’t think she’ll get through the first task” “It’s too bad she is nothing more than a pretty face”

She storms back to her friends in the Beauxbatons common room

Fleur: “And besides…”

“Really!? What is it?”

Fleur: “Promise you won’t tell anyone?”

“Promise!!”

In the champions tent. Fleur has drawn the Common Welsh Green.

Bill: “Hey Fleur!”

Bill: “Ehm.. good luck out there… not that you need it but.. yeah…” Fleur: “I’m sorry but…”

Bill: “Oh right.. I’m Bill. I’m Charlies brother, you know the guy who takes care of the dragons? So I’ve heard a lot about them and how unpredictable they can be. But I’m sure you will handle it just fine”

After Fleur completes the first task and retrieve the golden egg she receives lots of praise from other students, and notices that a certain redhead is waiting for her

Bill: “Hi! That was a pretty impressive spell you performed out there” Fleur: “Thank you!” Bill: “Um… I was just wondering if you maybe wanted to… you know…”

Bill: “Ehm, never mind… I’ll see you around…”

Bill: “W-with you? Um yes!! I mean… yes of course… I-I would love to! That’d be cool… yes…” Fleur: “Cool indeed”
