Congrats on your and Catherine's baby!! I've been following you both for years since the days you used to post with the #faeling tag, and I know you will be the most incredible parents! How are you feeling as you prepare? Do you have any tips for couples who are also ready to try for a child?
Thank you! We are so pumped it's not even funny!
This has been a VERY long process and we are glad to finally have made our way through the taxing rigmarole. Finally.
In terms of advice, I'd say make sure you are:
1) partnered with your best friend. Fertility journeys are hard enough when one is cis, and navigating the system when under the Trans umberella can be even more testing.
2) if you are binary, make sure you have your documents ready. Get that GRC in time for signing the birth certificate if you want to be M/F. Have every legal backup under the sun.
3) practice dad jokes every night in the mirror, a legal requirement also
Always happy to talk through my experience as a trans man in the medical system (UK/Scotland) if anyone wants more info
