Disney may not only do movies with white people, but

It is also definitely racist in its depiction of Mongolians (the Hun Army), and there is criticism about white washing some characters (Yao and the Emperor particularly). The main sidekick is constantly making Asian jokes. The Emperor is a “wise asian man on top of the mountain” stereotype tied up in a Confucius bow.

It contained racist lyrics such as “where they cut off your ear/if they don’t like your face/it’s barbaric/but hey, it’s home”. Jasmine is the epitome of an exotic beauty and her lead animator admitted to designing her face based on his white daughter. Jafar is a complete racial caricature of a “sneaky Arab”, complete with darker skin and more angular features than Aladdin and Jasmine.
^This movie took the life of a real woman, a woman who endured rape and kidnapping, and turned it into a movie where she falls in love with a man who was in reality hugely instrumental through his writings in the colonizing and murder of her people, a man she met when she was a child. Her appearance is incredibly anglicized and she is the epitome of a “noble savage” stereotype. Also the entire film is totally infused with racist stereotypes of indigenous people “being one with nature.”
^This one not only uses racial slurs throughout the entire film, it also totally relies on racial stereotypes. Esmeralda is sexualized (both through her relationship to the three main men in the film and her dance in the festival scene), and her people are shown as an entire group whose livelihood is achieved through mummery. Also, Quasimodo, having two Roma parents, is completely whitewashed so as to be an acceptable leading man for the film. Also, white white white voice casting (even for the POC characters).
^This is one film that did much better than others, though I have definitely read critiques about the misuse of the word/idea of “ohana”. In addition, Lilo is voiced by a white actress and you gotta admit that the film is just as much, if not more, about Stitch as it is about Lilo. Merchandising of the film has certainly taken that route— you’re much more likely to find something Stitch than Lilo.
I mean nice try I guess but you’re still super wrong.
Btw yeah they totally did “marginalize the plights” of the characters in many of these films.
