I've been thinking recently about how important place is to my work. Looking back over pieces that come from my feeling when hiking or travelling. Places where I've felt moved, or protected, or touched by.

These three pieces are very bound to places in Victoria: # 1 is from a spot just outside Numurkah # 2 is from the countryside around Warnambool # 3 is about Mt Buffalo... my soul lives there somehow.

Came across this art installation, Liza Lou's Kitchen, at the Whitney Museum of American Art, NYC. It's a kitchen made of tiny glass beads, that artist Liza Lou did, taking 5 yrs. to complete, from 1991 - 1996.

My favorite part is the sink.

On this day in 1969, the Apollo 11 mission landed on the Moon. 🌙 And back on Earth, an estimated 600 million people watched this historic moment live on television—roughly one-fifth of the world’s population at that time! The mission had three crew members: Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. Collins piloted the craft that would return them to Earth, while Armstrong and Aldrin became the first two people ever to walk the Moon’s surface.
