they should make a version of socializing that doesn’t make you feel like you’re still the weird 12 year old kid that doesn’t know why she’s not normal like the other kids
What's so funny to me is that Artemis does not need to do dramatic heists in which he and Butler assume fake identities (e.g., The Fairy Thief). Many of the more lucrative crimes he commits don't require much active involvement of Artemis at all -- we learn in TEC that he "developed software to divert funds from various bank accounts to [his] own.” However.
Artemis really fucking likes heists.
Thus, Butler ends up having to switch to decaf in his early 40s from stress.
Artemis only went after The Fairy Thief in the first place because he wanted to break the record as the youngest thief of it. He also intended to stick to the tradition of thieves holding onto the painting until somebody else bested them, so there isn't even a monetary motivation. Butler, for his part, points out that the previous youngest thief was some street kid who stole a random briefcase in 1927, which is a touch less advanced than the situation they are now presented with.

"You think this is fair? I didn't blow up Filament Station, but the ones who did aren't getting punished. Just me! I didn't get a choice! I just drew the short straw, and traded one fancy metal box to die in for another while people that I thought were my brothers abandoned me!"

Rewatched Promare again🚒🧯
Promare really reeled in the cis het dudebros with a shounen mech anime with Kamina and Yoko Litner expies and then not only did they cockblock them in the lake scene they proceeded to have the half naked big tiddy Himbo tenderly lock lips for 26-30 seconds with the extremely queer coded androgynous twink at the emotional climax of the movie complete with a gay ass arched back, followed soon after by them making a gigantic heart explosion together to defeat literal El0n Musk.
