Something I really like about the 90s Sailor Moon anime is how often it reuses outfits for the Senshi. Most outfits are repeated at least once (although there are still outfits that only make a single appearance).
It nicely averts the whole "cartoon character limited wardrobe" phenomenon (where cartoon/anime characters often just have one or two signature outfits and that's all we see) while still not having so many new clothes that it's unrealistic for an average teenager. You really get the sense that the Senshi have a wardrobe that they're frequently cycling through, and once enough time passes they introduce new outfits and get rid of old ones. You know, like people in real life do.
“Hey guys, I love this show! Idk who the creator is and I refuse to spend 5 seconds looking it up though, lol”
I never really talk about it on here because I don’t want to be a gatekeeping hater about a series I love so much, but DiC dub glazers are NOT beating the “blinded by nostalgia and too apathetic to watch the original anime as it was intended to be watched” allegations.
You can absolutely love and feel nostalgia for the original Sailor Moon dub!! It has a lot of points in its favor and I will always be grateful to it for introducing Sailor Moon to the English-speaking world. But there’s a certain type of dub fan who INSISTS that it is the best and only valid way to experience Sailor Moon, that Japanese words and names are “too hard” or “too confusing” for them or whatever (which is lowkey racist), and generally just refuse to engage with the series in a way that’s not through the lens of an outdated, heavily censored adaptation.
I probably just get salty about this because I have zero nostalgia for the DiC dub (I got into Sailor Moon as a young teen through the subbed version), but it’s just annoying to see people worship it while refusing to engage with the original source material. Like there are people who claim to love Sailor Moon but still think Uranus and Neptune are cousins 😭

Hi Katy, I don't really have a question, but, while scouting for some Sailor Moon merch for my collection, I came across these baddies:
And I just wanted to share these with you because "Planet Girl" is just too funny lol.
Do you have some Sailor Moon knockoff merch, or do you strictly collect original merch? 😊
BOOTLEG MERCH MY BELOVED!!!! I fucking love weird stuff like this, lol.
And to answer your question, I do own some bootleg merch! However, I have very high standards so they have to be either almost flawless dupes of original stuff or a cute, original take. I do have a soft spot for derpy bootlegs tho, just not in my personal collection, lol.

Venus Love-Me Chain is THE most versatile attack in Sailor Moon
It straight-up attacks enemies
Can rescue allies
Ties enemies up
Can save Venus and other allies from a fall
Oh, and HEAL THE BRAINWASHED.
Definitely one of the best attacks in the series.
A few colorings I did of Neo-Queen Serenity. She’s just breathtakingly beautiful!
One of my favorite finds from Naka-Kon (my local anime convention) this year! It’s a jewelry dish featuring the Spiral Heart Moon Rod that was exclusively sold at Universal Studios Japan during for their Sailor Moon exhibit a few years ago.
I have a Super Sailor Moon jewelry dish from the same exhibit that I bought from the same vendor last year! It’s so fun that they match!
