[Was cleaning a glass with a rag, humming a sweet melody to herself when she hears the bell on the door ring, looking away from the glass to find Kasey walking into her bar with his usual smile] Well howdy there, stranger~ [She said in a teasing tone] Ya look awfully like another lug headed fellow I know, his name's Kasey, ya heard of him? He hasn't visited me in Goddess knows how long, must've forgotten 'bout lil' ol' me~ [Sighs wistfully, shaking her head with a teasing smile on her face]

Alex placed the bundle of sheets on a nearby table and began to distribute them to the first-floor cots. The sterile, white color made him cringe.

"We get children in here so often," he mumbled to himself, "it wouldn’t hurt to get some more exciting bedspreads."

Each of the cots was then donned a thick, wool blanket, insuring that the cold winter would not bother the patients if the furnace did not suffice. There. Not a blanket out of place. Then the bell rang and Alex turned on his heel, ready to treat his next patient.

Clutching her wrist to her chest, Kathy walked through the door to the clinic with small, multiple cuts covering her arms and face, a few bruises here and there as well. Of all the days Dr. Jin decided to leave town, it had to be today. Sighing lightly at her luck, she spotted a figure in a white coat whom she presumed to be the Doctor.

"'Ey there, Doc, name's Kathy and m'horse got scared of a lil' critter and decided to buck me off, little bugger she is. Think ya could fix a girl up, heh?"

A light chuckle. “That’s quite alright - and that besides, I doubt very much that anyone’s done any research into the nutritional value of consuming elephant meat given that they’re nearly sentient animals.” He flashes her an awkward, toothy smile - as if he’s just crafted the most hilarious joke in the world - before obediently taking a seat at one of the tables in the bar.

"I’m sure anything you could provide would be excellent, thank you. And, ah— a ginger ale, perhaps, when you get a chance? It would do wonders for settling my stomach; I’m afraid the ferry ride didn’t quite agree with me."

Giving Louis a polite smile, not quite understanding what he's going on about but decides to go along with the cute fellow. "Uh-huh, I reckon' elephant would be a lil' tough t'chew as well but that's jus' me" gives the man a teasing wink, grinning.

"Well since ya mentioned yer stomach ain't doin' none too well, how's 'bout I serve ya some of our homemade chicken an' wild rice stew with a nice crusty, rustic bread on the side with yer gingerale-- sound alright t'ya, sweet thang?"

/Watches her make the drink, surprised how well she knows how to make it/ Oh. Thanks. /Picks up the drinks and smiles/ Looks really good.

/Takes a sip and nods his head/ I’m not. This drink is really good, thanks again. /Takes another sip/ I’m Gray. And you?

[Smells the bouquet of flowers the woman gave her] ♥ [Looks back to Ellen]  S'a pleasure to make your acquaintance too, Miss Ellen! But tell me, is it a custom from where you come from to give beautiful bunches of blossoms to folks you jus' met or am I jus' one lucky gal~?
